How is security? It’s my first cruise and I’ve read they have dogs and you have to line up to let them smell your luggage. Kinda seems extreme.

Didn't see any dogs and security was pretty fast. But also depends on what time your check in is. Later is usually better.

Actually I wish they would do it for every bag, every cruise. Weed is not allowed on board, but people hide and bring it anyway to smoke. It is quite rude.
That being said, dogs are a lot more common to see at carnival sailings. They've started cracking down harder. I haven't seen a dog in the past 4 or 5 Royal cruises I've been on.

how much was parking per day, also did they check passports anytime during the trip? thanks!

Parking was $20 a day, and I don't think you have to have them but we always travel with ours. Its just easier.
