Done printing mine, and almost done assembling. I love the servo controlled retracts. The designs are getting better and better as more models come out. Thanks for another great model.
One comment on the build video - some steps are not shown, or are shown so quickly it is hard to understand what is going on. One example: the glueing of the 3mm steel rod to the LG strut cover. There is a triangular ridge on the cover where the rod sits, but it is unclear if the rod should be placed at the apex of the ridge, or on onesie or other of the ridge. The alignment that seems to be correct is sitting atop the ridge, but that makes the contact point a very small area. I'm wondering if a U-shaped channel that the rod could rest in might not make more sense. Just a thought.
Please make the nose design stronger. The gap between the engine cowling and canopy is too narrow, needs widening and the nose cowling generally thinker. Don't get me wrong I've build the P51, it's great! Just something i've noticed that's a reoccurring design in the models🙏
Since when do Eclipson wings have bottom layers?! 4 at that. At 4:20 I'd put glue in the elevator hole and use gravity to ensure I don't glue the pin to the body.
I just built the wing and it came out perfect! Can't wait for the rest of it!!😃But I am wondering about the markings.. I have never seen such markings for the wing. They are usually just blue and red on top of the wing and blue, white and red on the bottom. The yellow ring shouldn't be there I think..Correct me if I'm wrong 🙂
@@eclipsonairplanes that's quite good. I designed/printed a similar size plane and it came out to 790 grams which is a bit much. I used pre foamed LW PLA. Do you think I should try the non Preformed LW PLA? The last video I posted on my channel shows the plane if you want to see what I'm talking about. I'm in the process of designing a new plane and really need to cut back on the weight somehow.

Thank you for your recommendation.

We adapt our designs constantly to provide the best strength to weight ratio on our planes!
