  • This is our 3D printed version of a WW2 legend, the Focke-Wulf FW-190A.

This model includes the same 3D printed retracts successfully used on our Mustang P-51. These are functional, sturdy and very cheap compared with commercial alloy retracts. In addition to this, as a novelty, this model includes an ultra scale cockpit where the windows are made using common plastic bottles. You can even print the pilot, seat, gauges etc. As usual in our designs, most of the layers have zero retractions/travel which improves the quality and strength of the prints. It also reduces the probability of nozzle clogging.

Pretty amazing. Any other warbirds in the works? Would love to see p40, f6f, p47, F4u, p38, and an A-1 skyraider.

Nice advertisement. Well done and thought out. I will purchase your model for your effort in "truth in advertisement."

Very nice airplane. Can you make P-40 Warhawk as your next warbird? Every RC brand makes Spitfire and P-51 but nobody makes P-40.

I wish it was an option on these WWII planes y'all are designing to have flaps, I know it's fairly small but could use Y-Splitters for the ailerons and flaps to still use a 6 channel receiver/transmitter.
Also really hope that some of the newer design features with the tabs for ease of assembly get added to the older models when y'all revisit them.

Two years ago I built the 3Dlabprint FW and its got the same wing setup. However I got a notification of a free shorter wing they released for it but did not look to see if they got flaps. For 20 dollars it’s a fair price and it flies great!

@@k.o.0 Is there a way to add a controllable rudder to it? Would've gotten their models if they had the option to add a rudder.

@@TheArtyTech Original plans don’t offer it but if you print out of LW-PLA it’s actually notched already and simply cut with x-acto and it’s totally doable. I did leave mine stock, but it is likely a half hour to cut and add the horn and servo. I guess you love doing your knife edges! I leave that for other models like the Edge 540 with big surfaces.

The limitation is the space in the wing for more servos.

@@eclipsonairplanes Just an idea that came to mind looking at WingC, maybe a single center mounted servo between where the flaps would be and have that servo connect to a shaft that the flaps slide onto during assembly or something?
