Thank you for joining in w/us today! It's always a pleasure to have you stop in & we enjoy sharing about how God moved in situation concerning our family & how He used us to accommodate other
families w/their children. Looking back to year 1993, we fondly remember the time when God led
us to start a: CHRISTIAN SUMMER FUN CAMP. At first, we didn't think that we were ready to do
something like that. We struggled w/the very idea of giving up our Summer & not being able to travel like we'd always done yearly. Then God made us understand the need of the military families & the importance of their children being able to attend at a camp where they'd be loved & cared for.
Revivalist Mel & I discussed it over & over again, until we were sure about it & had peace over it. We opened up for business & held the camp in our home. This was to accommodate children who were
out of school for Summer Break w/no plans of place to go & where both parents worked & needed
daycare for their children over the summer months until school was back in session.
During the school year, I was employed at the Adak Region School District where I worked at the
elementary school "Anne C Stephens" teaching in Special Programs... & at the Jr High & Bob
Sr High school I was employed as a substitute teacher. Twas a beautiful time when we trusted God
to assist us in setting up a daily schedule for 7-days of each week. It all came together as we
allowed God to give us ideas ongoing to meet the needs of the children enrolled in the program. How amazing it was that God made it all happen & we continued to let Him have His way in pulling
it all off as we followed the leading of the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. God used us & throughout the
season the children came to camp, He ministered to the children & their parents on various
occasions as we faithfully cared for & educated their little campers. God worked it out for us non-stop; orchestrating everything for us & made it end in success. All we could say is, "God is so Good!"
