Yall when david died I legit cried. anyone else??
YES ME!
Troy Tetlak I cried to, he didn’t deserve it and then when Marcy shot herself
@@Jayvante to be fair though Marcy only shot herself to protect the future so 001 couldn't get access to the director
Idk about cried, but I was MAD. How is the director not gonna save the best person on the show!
@@drewdebrocke2656 she also lost everything she was living for
It was explained by Trevor that are millions of time lines that the Director may have abandoned. The audience was just witnessing one time line or simulation. Also some travelers arrived with different futures also indicating the Traveler program did change some aspects of the future but the end result or simulation was always the same.
This was also seen when the team had to be saved by the kids skydiving. Took, what, 11 travellers to get it right? That means that's 11 timelines that got abandoned
Stephanie Rairdan no you got it wrong. Director can only send travelers to the recent time arrival of travelers. That’s mean, only 1 timeline but the director keep sending travelers to the time when the kid doing parachute over and over again until mission success.
Nos Rairdan you’re wrong. There aren’t 11 different timelines. It was a single timeline and the director kept overwriting the same individual. This can be seen as the host was no longer viable after the 6th or so transfer which is why they used the brother at the end. Additionally, the show mentions they can only go as far as back as the last traveler. Therefore, the director can continue to repeat itself but, as previously mentioned, only as many times as the original body can handle.
Lastly, Phillip mentions at the end that there was only one timeline remaining, the one that they were in. He was no longer witnessing simultaneous timelines.
@@dsaffery4 If that was true, Grant wouldn't of been able to go back to Sept 2001.
@@mikekaraoke why is that? You wanna elaborate there kid?
I recently ( around two weeks ago) stumbled upon this incredible series on Netflix and binged season 1 thinking it was a new release. So after the last episode of the first season, with Forbes closing in on Mac, I was so hype to see the "next episode in 5...4...3.."
If it ends with only 3 seasons, I can accept it. I fell in love with the team of travelers, and in my humble opinion, they are a hard act to follow. But if Netflix gives us another season, I would give it a chance, especially if it is done by the same show runners.
Yeah i really liked it. Some of the action scenes were kind of ridiculous but overall it was really good. You can't kill someone by biting them on the wrist and 11 year old girls can't kill people with pencils. Not to mention the tiny woman beats up 4 men at once that happened a few times.
The whole wrist biting part was poorly written. First of all that wouldn't work and secondly how did they get out? That was never explained properly. She'd be lucky to even break the skin before he pulled his hand back and smashed her head against the metal fence post.
@Scott Humphreys They got out when MacClaren and the medic/leader that is a police officer (forgot her name) found them after 3 days since they went missing.

The director didn't send Grant back 20 years, his team did... did you even watch the last ep
That is correct. The Director had given up by the end of the show.
The Director gave them all the tools... the Director knew what MacLaren's team would do. That thing is an AI... it can process the most probable path of action that MacLaren's team will take.
So, there are two options here:
1) The director give up and the team is acting by their own
OR
2) All of this is part of the director’s Gran Plan
@@penemuelwatcher2378 Well, The Director exists in the future, so it doesn't have to calculate anything.
The Director knows from historical records what had happened in the past.
I think the Director didn't order him to go back 20 years because that would mean the Director ordered to take the real Grant Maclaren's life years before his historical death. The Director is not programmed to do take a life unless the person is seconds from death, so instead the Director managed to make away to influence the Travellers to make this decision for him. Meaning he is not going against his program but instead manipulating them to basically kill the real Grant Maclaren for the greater good... But thats what i picked up from it, i'm maybe wrong?
Im disappointed because they didn't show the future or they didnt have a future scene just only 1 trevors real face
That's what make the show unique. It's a time travel show but we only get to see the present
It's nice because it's a mystery but described as a harrowing one.
im disappointed but impressed at the same time, imaine the budget they would need to cook a just 2 minutes scene of the future, for me it will ruin the immersion if it isnt done properly. i love how immersed i am even without the need of showing the actual future
Come on man all you did was copy an article it’s pretty obvious at least edit it so it doesn’t look like you copied an article.
i knew something was up but couldn'T figure out why, thanks for pointing it out
What a wasted potential of season 4, or maybe more. This could've blown up and create a new franchise side by side with MCU's Avengers and Loki or Christopher Nolan. I find it tragic how a big company prefers to continue producing shallow shows instead of inspiring shows like this. Maybe the show is true, 21st century is a turning point where corporates fuck us all up because they're tunnel focused by business perspective.
It's an amazing series and the thing I like about it is it's left open end it so they can reboot the series and have an entire new cast and start all over with all new Travelers but I don't know why they're not doing it it's a great sci-fi concept
I think the reason they're not planning on making a fourth season is because that's it, the ending of season 3 was meant to start a loop. Essentially the final episode is telling us that no matter what Humanity, machines, anyone does the timeline is screwed, obviously that's not true in reality but it's a very deep message that had me Ford for around 5 or so minutes
I have to admit, I did not like the way the series ended.
It pretty much said that the entire series was a total waste of time, and never actually happened.
So the ending was >>> "No Ending"
Yeah I agree. It was contrived. It was done by necessity though as I expect they were planning a couple more seasons. A lot of endings to shows that end early feel rushed or incomplete. As if the last few episodes go into high gear to tie up the loose ends. They did okay to wrap it up, but yeah, it does mean rewatching it is a waste of time heh.
without disrespect, you have no idea how to create something great, and keep it there. Should they continue going with a different cast, there is a much better chance that travelers would end up a disaster. If they kept going with the story, then it would most likely, if they had a continued script, have been awesome. But them stopping here cements this series in something that is great. Too much, and it fails, too little...and it's not enough. Everything is above average about this series.
@@TheRunescapeian accurate. They can kind of reboot the story after a few years with another cast with some esters eggs and clapbacks to the original one and it'll be just amazing but we all know that ain't gonna happen.
Whenever you watch something time travelling related like this, expect that. I thought it as soon as i clicked the series. "mhh, and the end plot will be that everything ties back to the beginning" And thats what happened. The common plot to make people go "Ahhhhhh" again. Cant wait for next season Dark
I disagree. Mac happened as he had to intercept 001.
This story is not linear and not restricted to a single timeline,.so everything that happened, happened. Some things overlap and therefore replace one another, but the fact remains that the underlying action had to take place for the overlapping one to exist.
I have so many questions left after the ending. The main one: What happens to the hosts of the travelers? Will Phillip, Carly, Trevor still die or were their paths changed as well?
That whole series timeline is erased... Since Grant sent a message it'll fail.... So that Traveller program version 1 (means full season 3) dint happen
Its paradox. The version 1 end but phillip atc live in version 1 .the destruction. Only Mac went back.saaaddd
Protocol 3. Since Mac interfered with the past and program 2 was launched, it's uncertain what will happen with his teammates, either travellers or their hosts. Host Marcy, for instance, won't die. Mac probably dies in 9/11. The rest we'll never know. Their lives might be somehow affected which would mean they won't get their original deaths. The travellers might not even exist at all.
That's the beauty of this show.
@@saigal2269 It will not be erased, it still exist, this is the concept of "When you travel back in time, you can not change the so called future, because it is your passed and has already happened, the passed that you travelled to is now your present, your future will be another timeline created by whatever Mac did"
So basically the team will still be in the timeline of the Faction taking over, but Mac who travelled back in time will continue with a different outcome, probably dying in the 9/11, which mean it is a different timeline since Mac exists in the 21st that we are initially presented to.
@@jaythelap6089 that's where you're wrong. You're taking the concept of multiple timelines where changing past will create another timeline but if that's the case then the whole point of travellers series doesn't make sense. The reason they are going to past is not for the sake of whole humanity but for the sake of themselves to have a better future and not live in a Dome. So it's more like back to the future concept where changing past will affect their future which is why they are changing so many past events.
I enjoyed most of the story lines and seasons of Travelers. Although filmed in and around Vancouver, B.C., the chronic conceit that movies must be based in the States bugs me.
( Washington licence plates etc.) I also had the feeling that the producers and writers knew their series was cancelled by the way they accelerated the last few episodes to bring some kind of resolution. David's death, nuclear holocaust and Kat's surety of Mac's true identity, for instance. I particularly enjoyed Patrick Gilmore's character, David. His comical confusion of the mayhem surrounding him was great!
sorry computer voice too annoying, use your own voice
I've just finished watching SS3 and found out the end of SS3 was so good.
All this is wrong lol, One of the directors said that the main character's team saved the world, Helios get prevented, All the problems are solved, The future is saved, And Protocol Omega was either just the plan of The Director Or the director leaves it to them cause he knows there is a chance of everything being fixed.
@@dsaffery4 no u
What I don't get is, if they preveny Helios at the end, how do they prevent the Nobel chicks from creating the singularity energy source that destroys everything?
@@lulospawn I’m assuming Helios and the singularity explanation shit is in that same letter.
MacLaren was sent to the past by his team and not the director. Protocol Omega (The director abandons this specific timeline) was already in play.
Yeah there was nothing there was difficult to understand. Why do people do these 'explaining' videos for everything?
That is correct, "the director" was not involved with how it ended.
By the way, the "Omega" is the last letter in the Greek alphabet, so the Omega Protocol would refer to the last contact by The Director.
it seems like 001 was the first traveler in the first rendition of the traveler program.
mac sending that message was the begining of the 2ed attempt.
grace who programed the director in the future named the traveler program TREV.
Have you forgotten that the director provided them the capabilities to even send Mac back to 2001 with the upload it provided Ilsa. They even explicitly state that the director provided them the tools needed to send Mac back and it also knew they’d come to this realization on their own after it initiated protocol omega. Although the director itself didn’t tell them to do this, it still played a part in it occurring to begin with.
@@dsaffery4 Yea how tf does nobody realize that???
There is a paradox here. If the MacLaren goes 20 years earlier and end his life in the twin tower, then the whole team in the 21st century would cease to exist. That means no MacLaren in the 21st century going back to 2001 to stop 001. And this repeats again.
honestly to me it just seems that the entire series was literally just a simulation scenario ran perhaps?
I just didn’t understand why the director announced Protocol Omega when david died
He gave up on that timeline
Dishwasher Umm does this mean that david should have survived?
@@muhammadmusawwir7506 could be
maybe, in order to save humanity david must live
Because David was the only good human left
What if the director saw this outcome and shifted events in a way that would make Grants time travel possible? The director had a change to kill 001 when he sent the messenger to him, telling him this too chasing or trying to kill grant. The director knew he would fail so he set things up in a way to where everything would lead to grant going back, and trying something else. Maybe traveler program 2 is just a do over.
We already know all that
I was wondering at the end, when Marcy took the gun and shot 001s goons, why didnt she just shoot 001(Jeff), instead she killed herself.
Because they were going to use her, the code used to rewrite her. To end the director. All because grace is a loudmouth dumba**
So she had to take her own life
I mean it's shown that she wanted to take her life anyway. In another timeline she does and she even thought about taking pills in the acutal one. I think the risk of it going wrong were to high
001 Was indeed a dickhead! He deserved the worse. But the truth is that was not only him that collapsed the timeline. The changes that the travelers made in our present time, created actually (involuntarily) the faction in the future. And from there all the chaos that erupted here. That's why Jo told McLaren, that their actions just speed up the collapse, instead of fix it. And the morale is that you cant change the past. No matter what the director was try, the end will be same or even worser, but somehow never better. The Director itself was stuck in an endless feedback loop that tried to save the past from happening, only to accelerate the collapse. Of course, without 001, the small details will change back to normal (Marcy wont be subjugated to the torture from 001) so she can meet David, which she was been ment to happen anyway, but bigger events, that lead eventually to collapse of society, will happen either way.
Of course, the end of the season 3 was rushed because they was knew is the end of the series (as always Netflix cancels the best seriers) and i really felt sorry for Marcy and David deaths. The director could save David (even if it was for short time) if he wanted but he was a dickhead AI machine with no feelings, just like Grace said. At the end, he was responsible, because otherwise David was not supposed to die anyway that way. But the main kind of sad moral is that you cant change the past to better. And that's why we need to struggle to make the best possible life choices in the present, otherwise it will be to late to undo it. But from what we see in our word today, it seams we are heading towards a more darker timeline, similar to the one in season 3, for all of us (with or without travelers 😅)
That was a good ending and the director did not send McLaren back as it could not take a life before its time but the humans could.
they need to make a movie!
This is a REALLY bad youtube video. I'm sad I can't see the dislike count
I just finished season 3. Glad they tied up all loose ends. Kind of a cop out of just resetting everything, making travelers obsolete. But glad to tied it off.
Why you talking like the Director?
🤣🤣
This is a prequel to the Matrix!
There doesn't need to be a season 4. It could be understood that the second reboot and no season 4 means it worked, simple.
Will there be a season 4?
Peter Lamoureux I think so
Peter Lamoureux not confirmed but it’s likely
Netflix just confirmed that it's cancelled
ThaT SUCKS! No reason to keep Netflix. Subscription Cancelled.
@@deepcow same
It was an ending, which is fine, at least it wasn't a major cliffhanger. Though some storylines never did feel complete unfortunately, and I seriously wanted to see 001 get his ass handled lol
I reckon we will get S4 in the future, no pun intended. lol
@@mikekaraoke In 431 years
You all know that the ending shows that The Director isn't the good guy. Mac and co. are the bad guys
Ok nobody? The Marcy David ends up with isn’t the same Marcy... we have no reason to believe any travelers were sent into that timeline at that point, meaning that’s the original Marcy. Which cool and all if all you give a shit about is physical attraction and a similar job. They are entirely different people. That’s a cop out.
@Copa Monkeys Because 001 never ended up coming since mclaren sent the abandon plan message. This means a shift in some instances...instead of the traveler working on macy and running trials on patients at the hospital making her mentally disabled she instead quit the nursing job and worked elsewhere.
Yeah but if you remember in the very first episode when Marcy first meets David, he says 'we;ve been through this I can't be your boyfriend' meaning that original Marcy did have the hots for David prior to Traveller Marcy turning up
I hate it when writer’s get too far ahead of the story and try to do way too much. They added all these extra pointless episodes and I feel like the ending was poorly written! They got carried away with everyone being turned into to travelers. They got away from the main plot too many times making it a love story thing and the characters were good I like it when the people have questions and then they find out that the person was indeed someone else.
Cheapass way of making a video. Outstanding series though, really really good
IT WORKED.
Wtf is this
the ending was so unsatisfying, will there be another season?
bakubye sadly they cancelled season 4. Which is unfair really when at the end literally says. It’s been reset and about to begin so I thought that was season 4 but then found out it was cancelled 😤
We deserve an explanation for cancelling the fourth saison
@@Dyhia-zd I think perhaps the ending is fine. Travelers version 2 happens and there is no season 4 to explain it, so it could be that indeed it worked, no need for a season 4 to stop bad things.
If you believe in the Mandela effect, just wait long enough and it will be different.
Season 4 if ever made would have to focus on McClaren life and why the 9 11 didn't occur with twin towers still intact.
Maybe a lot of bootstrap paradoxes would be formulated for script plots.
9 11 happened at 8:46 and when McClaren looked at his watch it was 8:34 so he still had 12 minutes before the crash and he was waiting to see if 001 would be sent
