Before getting to play Wonder Woman, Gadot’s most noted role was as Gisele Yashar in the Fast and Furious franchise. But even though she has had experience working on a big-budget movie, Gadot had to get ripped to play the iconic role of Princess Diana of Themyscira.

People in this comment section have clearly not seen the movie yet, Gal is skinny but she does a fantastic job as Wonder Woman, not only does she nail Diana's characterizaton, but the action as well. Man, those action sequences were masterpieces, and finding out that it was mostly her doing them and that she was even pregnant during some of them made the whole movie a lot better. I would really recommend watching the movie before trash talking.

No, she's barely athletic and fit (what I would call yoga fit.) Jessie Graff - actually athletic and fit. Now, this doesn't mean that Gal Gadot isn't beautiful - she is. In fact, I get a kick how they keep talking up this as a girl power movie when in fact they chose an actress that was a beauty queen and underwear model to get the boys to show up and drool. Had a little laugh over the horseback riding part, because I was one of those people who thought it would be a lot easier than it actually is myself! It looks so easy because most of the people we see do it have been doing it for YEARS. I am a relatively new rider (coming up on finishing year 2, which isn't a lot of time for horse riding at all) and it is a whole lot harder than it looks. It will make you sore in areas you didn't even think you had muscles! Also, the faster the horse is going, the harder it is to stay balanced. I can't imagine going at a full gallop and swinging a sword at the same time! You have to be really strong to stay on and tell the horse where to go, and she definitely is! She's such an inspiration. I'm going to see the movie tonight and I can't wait!!! :)

Her being in the army is great for the movie's PR, but as a soldier Gal Gadot was a sports trainer. The minimal length of boot camp for combat training in the IDF is 4 months and for special forces it could get up to a year and a half.
