    That was certainly a beautiful looking road through the country side. The Scramblers are the only Ducati's that appeal to me as they have clean lines and in general looks hark back to the look of the late 60's and early 70's bikes of my teenage years.

    Having fun in the 😎.
    Your interview was great as well.
    Keep in first gear when stopped to be ready for emergency maneuvers. Like car not stopping behind you.

    Ducati have done a good job (and a great review as well).

    Another great video. I use to have a Harley David Sportster Iron 883 or I went halves on the purchase as it was my wife that fell in love with it. Unfortunately, with the short rear shocks it was hard on the bum and with Vance and Hines exhaust had a wonderful sound, but it was too loud to start at 06:00 when my wife wanted to take the bike to work and I ended up pushing her and the bike down the road away from the surrounding neighbor's, so not to disturb them. so, we traded it in for two Ducati Scrambler 1100cc Specials that we found to be amazing bikes. Practical to ride long distances. Different modes to control the power and economy, and a wonder popping sound when you took your hand off the gas. We love theses bikes and they attract a lot off attention. Before buying we saw a great video by Moto Doll, an Austrian journalist who was invited by Ducati to trial the bike in Italy. After seeing this we visited a local Ducati reseller the next day and luckily they had two identical bikes in the showroom that we bought and enjoy to this day. Since then I added a Ducati Panigale V4S to the collection, but my wife won't ride it saying it looks ugly 😩 so I end up taking it out on my own. I'm now having to learn filtering because you need to keep the bike moving as it gets bloody hot on the inside of the legs.

    I had a Honda 750 Nighthawk that my dad gave to me. It also could be customized, and mine was set up with a windscreen, great for long rides, but I kept it off for most of my shorter rides. Quick as heck!

    Ducati service costs should make your average rider think twice. Great bike if you can afford it.

    I’m torn! My long time favourite scrambler is the Desert Sled, yet I’m intrigued by this new breed, although it may not go as well off-road.

    • @tomboyabit
      @tomboyabit  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Same. I fell for a Desert Sled but now if I’d have to choose would be very difficult.

    • @ericwilliams626
      @ericwilliams626 Před 4 měsíci +1

      I have the Scrambler and now I wish I had the Desert Sled but for only one reason. I like the Scrambler for low center of gravity. It makes a difference in being easy to control. The sled is the same bike with a higher center of gravity, which isn't a huge deal, but you have to consider, trust me you do have to consider it. However, the Scrambler has a cramped leg position to it which is my only grievance and I'm only 5 10. The Sled would eliminate this problem. So you exchange one set of problems for another. I will keep my Scrambler and just be happy. Happy riding.

      @ericwilliams626 Cheers. Still the Desert Sled for me, except I think production has stopped.

    I want to get my first bike next year and I’m torn between the Ducati, Honda, Moto Guzzi and Triumph Scramblers. Tough decision 🙈

    • @tomboyabit
      @tomboyabit  Před rokem

      Very tough decision. I’d get all the information of which is the best for where I want to ride it and then test them all and let my heart to decide.
      It was enough for me to sit on bikes before I got my first one. I got it before my licence.

    V7 Guzzi or the Scrambler ? I want to be able to go long distances , two up with luggage occasionally . The Duke seems quicker and flingable , but two up on a longer ride looks a bit challenged .... ? Both appeal to me , but I cannot afford both !

    • @tomboyabit
      @tomboyabit  Před rokem

      I’ll be testing V7 soon. Than I can answer your question.
      If I’d choose a bike for travelling I defined would go for a scrambler not naked. With no doubt.

    I had one of the original Ducati singles, a 250 😂mk 3, I think it was 1974, I think the scrambler was the 350 or 450 engine. I sold my bike for £175…..as everyone wanted 2 stroke bikes back then ( Yam RD 250 etc had just arrived on the market), and 4 strokes were pretty much worthless) hey, I stopped looking at how much it would be worth now, had I kept it😅

    You really should check out some even nicer roads next time you are in Valencia.
    We can take you for a tour along some of the most beautiful roads, with sights, in the area.
    I like the concept of the Ducati Scrambler, but at 1.96cm it feels to cramped for me ergonomically, did a test sit on the fair here end of last year. The bigger Scrambler 1200 did feel really good though, seemed more my size.

    • @tomboyabit
      @tomboyabit  Před rokem +1

      I wish I could stay longer in Valencia. Good reason to come back.
      Have you tried Desert Sled? It’s significantly taller. To me 1200 looses the playfulness that 800 has. More suitable for touring thought.

    • @ridesandsights
      @ridesandsights Před rokem

      @@tomboyabit Have not tried the Desert Sled yet, will add it to the test sit / ride list.
      Actually, for me a more touring oriented character is better to keep the speeds under the "very playful" level.

    I can see the improvements over my bike, a 2016 Icon, but mine has 77 Hp, with a different muffler, verses 73Hp with this new one. That is quite a lot of power difference. I do really like the ride by wire as the throttle on my bike is quite harsh to get used to. Also, the new dash layout is excellent. Nice model but I won't be changing form my bike. Love it too much. I have had 5 Ducati bikes over 25 years and this is definitely the most fun and well thought out machine. So easy to ride and these 803cc air cooled engines are so very good. The power to weight ratio is fantastic. You can cruise along or go really fast. Does it all easily. link to my video czcams.com/video/GTCM4WatQbg/video.html
