I got a Wooting One a couple years ago (just before they announced the Two, unfortunately). I would say, messing with the actuation curves helps a lot with the analog usage, not just the actuation point. (the option in wootility is on the bottom under "gamepad response".) You can change the curve like you would for a fan voltage except for analog movement equivalent to actuation point.

In FPS games I have WASD keys set as extra sensitive and keys I accidentally hit while gaming (windows, L Ctrl, Caps) set to require a deeper press to trigger so they don't get pushed by accident anymore. Then when I'm typing youtube comments and not gaming I'm a different profile with all the keys set to the same sensitivity.

I think the problem is that it has linear springs, but it really needs progressive springs that get stiffer as you press down. That would probably feel really strange for normal typing, but I think modulating how hard you're pressing would be easier than just distance.

Wow you missed so much of what is great about the keyboard. Activation height is also adjustable in digital mode, the fact that there is no physical contacts being made means no denounce which means faster reactions are possible, you can setup macros to activate one action when first pressing the key, a second action when you reach the bottom and a third action when releasing the key, their APIs are fully open source and easy to use if you want to get even more fancy with the macros, and every key is fully analog. There is so much more, but the above list I think is very significant and needs to be discussed if you are going to talk about wooting keyboards. I have one of the old wooting two keyboards and it is easily the best keyboard that I have owned. It took me a little bit of testing to figure out the best settings for me, but I have loved it ever since then.

I bought it for use in War Thunder, can confirm for the likes of that it's great, having the ability to feather the accelerator and steering in slow moving tanks while still being able to use the mouse for aiming is amazing. I've also used it in Mass Effect LE though to a much lesser degree. Can confirm it's complete garbage for driving games though, at high speed you just don't have the amount of fine control you need.
For slow paced games where you can really make use of the feathering, it's amazing!

I think he didn't realize, that he used the wrong Utility. The actual Utility has an updated UI and supports an actuation point of 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm and other stuff. This is really important, since the old Utility does not recognize the newer boards with Lekker switches. None of the changes made in the video actually influenced the keyboard. The software even shows a TKL board, because it has no clue, that a board is connected.
5:03 "yeah, so I'm barely pressing it"; "gotta push a lot further" after not really changing the actuation point...
You can see him not really having to press any further. 3.6 mm is almost bottoming out (4.0 mm, which is supported, means bottoming out)
There is literally a button "save to keyboard" visible, and he didn't even try to use it. (again, wouldn't have worked because it's the wrong software)
This probably also explains, why all other features are never mentioned, since he probably couldn't get them to work.

i dont like how they talk down on other switches on their website when its down to preference. tacticle, clicky, linear or silent switches are down to personal preference. and they boast about switch longevity lol i have ancient cherry blacks, same as linus' wife's keyboard, the 7G, and it still works and ive done some mean amount of gaming especially on the wasd keys. ive opened mine up to put in some silent tactile switches and added tape mod, bandaid mod to the primary stabilized keys, "holee" mod to my spacebar, clipped the stabs, added foam in the plastic chassis, a rubber eraser because it fit in one spot(lol), more tape in the chassis, and lubed some of the other 104 cherry blacks lol now it sounds and feels much better. totally missed opportunity to do more for Yvonne's 7G when they did a video repairing one switch. they said she doesnt even like linear switches, they coulda soldered in some tactiles for her or whatever she preferred. its tedious and annoying work and could strain a muscle in your back being slouched over and the soldering fumes arent great. i even got burned a little. and curse you steelseries for bending some of the switch contacts at the factory, it was hard to get all the solder off underneath the bent pins and bending the pins back up made me rip some of the pcb traces off because some solder was still stuck to the traces. i coulda done a better job myself tho to prevent that but this is my first keyboard i modified and learned by doing some damage.
whats most unique about this keyboard i guess is the STEEL plate mount lol i doubt many out there offer steel as an option for a plate. all ive seen is aluminum, brass or some sort of plastic or even pcb mount. steel in a steelseries kb is fitting.
