ive seen this comment at least 7 times on every video ive watched since morbius came out

So factual

Watched that part Wootingllion times, can relate.
The tapping early is also because the wooting firmware is a lot faster than standard keyboards, for example with "tachyon mode" on it's less than 1ms compared to 9-20ms for other keyboards
ratio
Sus checkmark
john biddle
my ducky goes to 3ms so it's pretty close to it
Saying that tachyon mode = 1ms instead of 9-20ms isn't quite true. From what I know, the tachyon mode essentially pushes the keyboard from a 500hz polling rate to a 1000hz polling rate (meaning 1ms instead of 2ms)

Have you tried with actuation point (e.g.) to 3.5mmm with 0.1mm rapid trigger?
Then you'd have actuation at highest point of feedback and with rapid trigger you can still vibro rapid trigger at the end. 👀
wooting said vibro
W wooting
It’s worth noting that players like BTMC and khz who say they don’t get much benefit out of wooting mostly see no benefit because they’ve been practicing timing and stamina for years and years on a specific keyswitch, and they’ve gotten extremely comfortable at those play styles. if btmc playing speed like 260-270+ i’m fairly confident he’d see a big improvement too
It's like going from chopsticks to fork when you're already good at chopsticks
@@ksonarigathanksc3893 thats a great way of putting it
It's mainly just because there isn't really any difference. Your muscles don't work or function in a way that makes it that relevant. Actuation is the only thing that really matters and there are several keyboards you can adjust that with or have very low actuation points. There are other keyboards that can do this same thing, it's just software, the keyboard itself is nothing special.
the human can only move their fingers so optimally untill you hit a wall, this keyboard doesn't change that
@@De4dSp0t wooting keyboard still has the best sensitivities for rapid trigger and actuation points. Goes way lower and can detect earlier.
I like these new style of videos, his content is becoming more versatile and diverse and I hope I get to see more of these videos
The rapid trigger keypad was the first thing that came to mind after seeing the wooting's price, especially if you are not in america or europe. Hope to see this product in the market sometime.
As a high ranked 4 digits who never really been good at speed, i can confirm that it helped me a lot with it, got from doing B's on fast bursts maps to FC's with more than 97% with the wooting, after a month of use. I would recommend the keyboard if you already have a lot of experience in osu and actually need to switch keyboard, but don't expect to get good instantly with it, like ed said, you need to relearn a little to make a big step forward
6 digit rank here and the current keyboard that I am using is a first gen Das keyboard professional S with clicky blue key switches. Needless to say I am excited to get my uWu and sayodevice key pads

actually banger video, loves this style of editing. Keep it up ed!
Also, it's a great video when BTMC himself finally join the "it's wooting time" trend

I think a keypad is exactly what could be the best thing that a lot of people want. I think if it where priced right, let’s say like $40 it could be a game changer, or $90 for something like a razer nostromo (for fps and moba players). I feel like the biggest problem with most keypads is that it doesn’t make sense to me how someone is going to pay 30-40 dollars for two keys when for less you could just get an actual mechanical keyboard, but if something like a rapid trigger keypad comes out I feel like there’s an actual reason as to why you’d be able to price it around that since there’s actually something different you’d be getting.
your wish has come true

Really cool video yo. I been wondering about all thiS stuff for a good min now. Wanted to leave some feedback if i can tho. Im having trouble hearing you on your stream clips because the audio level is so drastically lower than your voice overs. Id really appreciate it if you could bring your levels closer together if you havent already in newer vids. I tend to get over excited about normalizing audio levels but just a simple boost while talking would work too at the cost of more editing ofc

lmao, underrated
Oh shit I have not kept up with the Wooting keyboard in forever. I first heard about the keyboard brand by 3kliksphilip a few years back and this shit blew me away. I can't believe they actually made progress with new features like rapid trigger. It didn't have this before, so I was genuinely surprised that it went beyond than just adjusting actuation points and being a controller converter.
Now that osu players have a hold of it, it's gonna be very interesting to see how this goes for the foreseeable future with other brands of mech-keyboards
Im astonished to see ed uploading regularly 😮 nice vid 👍
finally people are discovering wooting keyboards, I’ve been using their keyboards for a long time and I’ve always loved it using them :D never used rapid trigger or any of its functions for rhythm games though
how do you get the input playbar on the top to show on rewind at 6:18 ?
After using it for a few weeks I can safely say that over time you'll develop a technique that makes good use of the rapid trigger. I could neither type nor play with it at first, but now I have it permanently on without issues. I absolutely recommend buying and getting used to it since there's only advantages with the 60HE, it just takes some time to master it.
a bit too late, but I have a correction: 10:51 the tactile feedback does not always indicate the actuation point getting passed (the Kailh Speed Bronze switches are a good example of that) other than that, gread video ed!
Same concept of buying an ultra light mouse and a good mousepad over an office mouse and pad, it changes the way every little thing feels, so at first you might think it wasnt worth it but after training it makes everything 100x easier, I upgraded everything in my setup slowly and found that the biggest upgrades where getting a pc, getting a high refresh rate monitor (165 hz then later 280hz) and getting an artisan mousepad, yes everything else was important but mostly preference, but the little things like having 4 side buttons instead of 2 on my mouse and having lower latency from my keyboard switched makes all the difference competitively
For the Keypad.
You might want to look at the projects made by Riskable.
Mainly the Riskeyboard 70 hall effect keyboard and the Void switches.
I bought mine for $70 when It first out along with DUCKY MINI 3 I chose this WOOTING keyboard because it was way cheaper / clear and I wanted to BUILD A KEYBOARD, I did get the non-ANALOG version. takes normal north or south facing LED switches. I got it with non lubed browns and bought Holy pandas from HOLY DROP that came lubed from factory, I did add a little more LUBE on the stabilizers and added ban aid mod to the stabilizers, filled the keyboards casing with foam! to soften the sound as much as possible. love my keyboard and thanks to people like you and glaris i was able to make a keyboard I enjoy :)
its like switching from a sword to gun, if you try to use a gun like a sword and just hit people on the head you wont understand why its better until you learn to use it
yeah yeah the wooting is cool and shit but do you still have your very first corsair board from your old videos? would be soo cool to see you play with it again
well rapid trigger only helps you when you have problems lifting your finger the main feature would be the 0.1 mm actuation point
i just want a hall effect keyboard, and this is the nicest option available. really wish it was in 65% because i'd jump on it quick. I like the idea of a hall effect keypad because it would literally be good forever, but just having a full keyboard for osu again would be nice.
You probably already know this, but Steelseries Apex Pro keyboards are probably what you're looking for.
finally, the wooting vid.
i have the wooting two HE and i gotta say i feel like rapid trigger only makes my gameplay worse, but to each their own i suppose.
its taken me 2 months but i after learning how to properly use rapid trigger i went from deathstreaming 220 to 250
Fun fact, on osu!lazer you can reassign the osu! mouse button keybindings to other keys so that you get to use 4 buttons bound on osu!'s 2 virtual inputs. This is an intentional feature, someone had made an issue a long time ago about this and peppy said he wanted to see more diverse playstyles.
i remember when they said osu!lazer was going to be the mainline osu! in not too much time... like 4 years ago... lazer is still getting great updates, but I'm a Linux player and I feel like we've been waiting forever for it to actually become the main version of osu! like peppy said...
Some of the features of the keyboard such as the keyboard wasd controller movement switch is availible with every keyboard which makes it even better
1:13 "It's 60% layout" *Proceeds to show a 75% layout*
I made a rubber stopper to make the bottom-out point on my osu keys shorter
another thing that wasnt talked about is that it's analogue input, so on games with movement or driving, where youre either steering at 100% or 0% on keyboard, you can steer/move with a curve like a joystick on an xbox/playstation controller. This also helps with movement games like apex, overwatch, and even cs/valorant peaking.
I really wanted to know if the keys were lubed, so thanks for the info!
super excited for aricin to start playing on the keyboard, can't wait for that

Their keyboards are really great. I was an early adopter of the Wooting Two. Nice product.
as long as the wooting keypad has worldwide shipping and isn't unreasonably expensive, then I would get it just try it out.
For most of the osu! community (people under 18 y/o) its too expensive to just by it to try it out. Unless you mean trying it and returning it
Definitely agree I wanted to try rapid trigger but I am just not paying 175 for a plastic gaming keyboard
@@royal5721 at the end of the day plastic is just a polymer, we dont know what type of plastic its made out of
boats are also made out of a polymer and those tend to be q u i t e sturdy
so dont just swipe away the keyboard just because its made out of plastic
they give 4 year insurance on that thing, theyre definently making it quite fucking durable if the likes of NA 13 year olds are getting their hands on it and breaking it
@@royal5721 same
bruh 175 is not much for a good keyboard, especially with such an innovative feature
If you wanna bottom out faster, pull a little ball in each switch, then edit the actuation and de-actuation in software
I was going to suggest something similar: limit the physical travel, keep the minimal activation movement, tune to the brink of almost getting jitter.
people have made a rapid trigger keypad, karcher has it on his twitter. but it needs mass producing which the creator cant do
Tbh as a newer player it helped me learn streams. You just need to spend more time with it. Ironically I think being a player with more hours on standard keyboards is actually disadvantageous since the muscle memory is so hard to break. New players coming up on wooting will reach new heights in the coming years, I’m sure of it
I can't help but think that this is placebo, and that you just got better because you're new at the game and improvement is really quick
nah i think the opposite, because they will learn cheesing streams instead of actually streaming. I feel like the wooting is only helping if u already "mastered" streaming
@@ddd-op5wy if you wiggle your key up and down 0.1mm you can do 350+BPM. You can do very fast BPM...BUT you need to NEVER let go of the key so if you lift your finger up and tap the key then micro movements won't improve you alot and so your muscle memory literally makes the switch move waaaaaay to far up then you need to...
Idk about that I feel like its gonna teach bad form, I think a lot of speed players out can use the wooting effectively because they already know proper streaming technique
@@Loxu69 I toggled between rapid trigger on and off to learn it properly. It helped me learn it when I was not making any progress just completely failing any stream instantly
anyone saying wooting doesnt do much has never tried wooting for more than a day. i've had it for a couple days now and i can burst 20 bpm higher than i could before (barely could pass everything will freeze, almost passed image material hr with wooting)
the step backwards for a massive step forwards really felt like that is what happened to me, i really like the keyboard, and i went from streaming 190 little problem, to not being able to do 160, and after a couple months i am now able to burst 250 and somewhat stream 210. I think it is more of a good keyboard for learners, i am a mid 6 digit and wanted to learn to stream faster and i was able to learn to stream faster bpm, faster than with my old ducky one 3. I felt like i was stuck with the old keyboard and this keyboard is what helped me boost further and faster.
Or its placebo, either way i got better faster than i thought i would.
"A single step backward for a giant leap foward" - BTMC
The lighter springs help with control (I‘m playing at 0.1mm actuation / rapid trigger)
Have you ever tried the SteelSeries Apex Pro (TKL 2023 / Mini) keyboard with similar magnetic switches that entered the keyboard market earlier?
just something you have to get used to, doesn't make sense to have the test in the very beginning of the video where you just got it. since keyboards haven't changed since forever, ofc you'll playing without testing the full extent of the new feature
i want to get that tapping vs beatmap tapping so ive installed the rewind software but i cant find nything to do with what BTMC had. Dose anybody knon how or what i need to do to get that to show (i've looked at the discord server, i looked at the gitub paged, i've watched vids and nothing plz help)
btmc leaving us on a cliff hanger? Ready to wait till 2024
if you find out your advrage key press when you are playing and then set you rapid a little over that by like 0.1-0.3 then thats probably the best settings you will get
The safety net the keyboard offer wont exaclty turn you into a god player however for these runs where you should have missed/failed, a keyboard allowing you to save your run can sounds very appealing. For the average user it wont change much outside of a few saved accuracy or combo but for the top player that saved combo/run is what will make the difference on a leaderboard. And yeah, having to get used to a new keyboard will requires some adaptation time so the gain may not be felt instantly.
But what do I know, I'm a mouse only user.
Safety net is simply the instant benefit...if you see all the rapid trigger haters you will see they always lift their finger into the air in excess of a couple mm cuz they are used to having to move too far up to reset their key switch but if you want to bottom out. Then simply press the key down completely and simply lift the key a little from the bottom of the keyboard and then bottom out then move up a mm. and simply bottom out again to get the feedback...the switches with rapid trigger literally can reset anywhere with any distance... instead of memorizing timings you should be learning to press down RIGHT when you want to move as rapid trigger allows you to only focus on pressing down since any up movement will allow you to press down again
As Squasyboy once said: the Full potential of this keyboard is only shown when you maxed out the Limit of your current keyboard
3:28 um I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with making notelock impossible. It makes FINGERlock less punishing since you can't rly miss the actuation point after your initial click
10:18 what map is?
SHI- This is one entertaining vid cannot lie to you ed. Enjoyable watch

very cool stuff. this is actually very important when you get taller in higher dimensions.
especially when ai and artificial beings start getting involved.
the editing was really enjoyable. 10/10
you can see better the power of the wooting in osu!mania, for example , recently myuka ( top 1 for 4k in mania) make S rank in one of the most harder map and the test streaming he say much times that he see how he dont get tired so fast
"global rank 72" gets funnier as the days go by
Steelseries Apex Pro keyboards just added this now also.
You asked to tell what was wrong with you not dying during that insane map. I've actually been playing Lazer for a long time now, so it's noticeable that note lock was essentially missing, just like it is in Lazer.
rubber o-rings on each keycap should help prevent bottoming and would probably make it sound creamier
No it sounds and feels mushier. Only time you should ever be messing with orings with your keyboard is if you're trying to silence topre switches
Did I miss it??? sounds like if you changed the actuation point to being much lower it would fix your rapid trigger fatigue.
a rapid trigger keypad would be awesome especially if you playing on a laptop and dont want to plug in a whole keyboard to play osu
I have bought a Apex mini pro which also have a Rapid trigger. As a 150k or 6 digits It gives me 285pp record and I was impressed (Aim player btw) I was freaked out when it happened. I already ordered Wooting 60HE tho. The reason i bought this apex because wooting took too long and i just wanna experience the rapid trigger. And it was worth it. Now I'm just so exciting for the wooting to be in my hand. (Everyone knows it is the best rapid trigger optical switch keyboard on the market)

dude im still new to osu and bought my first mechanical keyboard a few days ago (250$ canadien) and i saw a huge improvement with my playing style. i finally was able to beat my first 5 star map. so BTMC might be right abt a few things with this keyboard i will say the more expensive the keyboard the better. this keyboard might not be worth it with its features but if ur budget is 250$ i would def say a razer keyboard of any sort.
hate to say it, but you dont need top of the top expensive keyboard. especially around that kind of price. all you really need is a decent hot swap keyboard. thats like, 100-120. other than that, its a skill issue that you need to overcome by playing more similar maps slightly over or under your skill. i dont play osu anymore, but i remember playing a 5 star map on a keychron k6 literally around 70-80 bucks. it wasnt a hot swap, but i own quite a few now for other reasons than during my osu phase.

To use the features of the wooting you need a separate sill set to not slam the keys on your keyboard which most osu players gradually develop as they progress in the game.
A nice and clean rapid trigger keypad would actually be amazing, not only would it cost less than the wooting keyboard but it would also help people who dont have the funds for an entire keyboard like that. It would also help with the people who are only trying the wooting keyboard just because of the fact that many different top players are using this, instead of wasting their money on a $400 keyboard of which they dont even know if they would have the same results, they could buy your product.

3:32 Wait what, that's not true. You can note lock when playing with Relax on, so that makes no sense.
thats because u overaimed which is basically the relax equivalent of what ed mentioned in this video while aiming correctly.
