Jude Bellingham is on another level and he has silenced all of the critics who kept trying to downplay his performances. He’s just that good and we’re living in his world right now. He’s having one of the best debut seasons ever. He has 21 goals and 10 assists in all competitions including 17 goals in La Liga and he’s a midfielder. He seems to be Barcelona’s new owner and has dunked on them twice already this season. Brace away from home against them when they were losing to Barcelona by a goal and scored a stoppage time winner and then at home after his team was behind twice, did what he’s done all season, score the winner which means that the title race is done and dusted and Real Madrid are on the brink of winning the league. As a midfielder, he has incredible scoring ability being at the right place at the right time and he’s an excellent finisher. He’s producing all of this on a team that doesn’t even have an elite striker and they’ve coped so well because of Bellingham’s goals. At the start of the season, he was scoring game in game out and there was a period where the goals dried up and despite that he was playing very well and what a time to return to scoring ways. Everything about him is unique and for months I’ve been trying to find a weakness in his game and I don’t see it because you just can’t have it all. What’s crazy about Jude Bellingham is the fact that he’s not even in his prime, at 20 years of age, doing this well in your first season at Real Madrid, imagine how good he’ll be in his peak. I always felt like the money they paid for him was a bargain because they paid over 100+ million on this guy and he’s been 10/10. He has transformed Real Madrid and has absolutely elevated this team and him winning the Ballon Dor if he wins the champions league would be the cherry on top for his stellar debut season at Real Madrid.

Jude scoring in every game at the start of the season was unheard of it was never his game at Birmingham or Dortmund and people seemed to think if he’s not scoring then he’s not performing. I don’t think people understand how ridiculous of a season Jude Bellingham is having. The reason why he’s doing so well isn’t because he’s on Real Madrid and if you think it is, then I don’t know what to tell you. There was already a lot of hype around him when he was at Birmingham City as a teenager and then the foundation for the success he’s having at Real Madrid right now is his decision making. His move to Borussia Dortmund was always a stepping stone because he could’ve been in the premier league by now, but elevated his game on a club that is known for nurturing young talent and became an elite midfielder. Anyone who watched Jude would know that he was destined to be a superstar and to be a regular starter on the England national team at the age of 19 at the World Cup is a testament to how good he is and he was already captaining one of the biggest clubs in Germany at such a young age which showcases his leadership and mentality. In his final season at Borussia Dortmund, he almost carried them to the league title and won Bundesliga Player of the Year. He was born to play for Real Madrid and he’s had a phenomenal debut season there and his G/A rate is much higher at Madrid than it was at Dortmund and Birmingham. The guy is English, yet preferred Real Madrid over the premier league and thank for he avoided that circus at Manchester United 3 years ago because if he joined them I don’t know if he would be the player that he is today. He was also very close to joining Liverpool and Manchester City as well and going to Real Madrid was the right decision for him.
21 goals and 10 assists 31 G/A in all competitions he’s playing further forward than ever before in a team that is comfortable without a recognized striker and in a span of 12 months he went from an elite midfielder to one of the best players in the world and will probably win the 2024 Ballon Dor if Madrid wins the champions league this season. As I’ve said before, Jude Bellingham absolutely benefits playing for Real Madrid alongside some excellent players and learning from 2 of the best midfielders of our generation in Luka Modric and Toni Kroos that has elevated his individual performances, but that shouldn’t take anything away from him because everyone knew that he was an elite midfielder at Borussia Dortmund even before he went to Real Madrid where he’s gone from strength to strength.

Barcelona is on course to be a scary team if they can get great experienced players with the right mentality. Madrid players have the mentality down. It's like they feel like they deserve to win every match and in fact expect it so they never give up up no matter what. The experiences players keep a cool head and the younger players have the hunger to keep fighting. Barcelona has capable players but that's why a player like Gavi is needed. Pedri's is better in terms of technique but he's not going to chase the ball the same way. Even when you look at City, people like Bernardo who don't let negativity weigh them down are a gem to have. That pitbull never gives up. I'm not sure Barcelona has the heart to keep fighting nor does Xavi have the zen required to guide these youngsters when needed. Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen brought in Xhaka and Grimaldo for that very reason. Good players but also players who have been in title races, faced adversity and risen past it. Both in key positions and helping to spur on the youth like Frimpong and Wirtz to take their game a step further.
First of all Pep was right about Cancelo he's costed all 3 goals very clearly. Second of all if Vazquez who purposefully put his leg into Cubarsi to draw a penalty then Rudiger's obvious bump into Fermin should of been a penalty as well. Lastly the fact that there's no goal line technology in this league only shows how corrupt it is given that Lamine could've and should've had a goal to his name today.
