    I bought mine to range targets for catapults, but I use it for rifles too, and at work now as well, measuring things like fences.

    Mine seems to be off about 1-2 yards from all others I have compared to. Is thus normal?

    I bought this and LOVE IT!! But I have a question that needs to be addressed. Please.
    In archery if I have for example a 30 yd LOS shot. One shot is uphill by 15 degrees and another downhill by 15 degrees. The HCD in each case would be the same. However, for an uphill 30 yd LOS distance in archery, I need to aim higher than normal. A downhill 30 yd LOS distance I need to aim lower. But the range finder will give the same HCD if I understand how it works.
    Please explain. Thank you!!

      @psav7 Před 5 měsíci

      In both cases you have to aim lower, HDC is almost correct, Ballistik Rangefinders are perfect but very expensive, for Bowhunting HDC is good enough!

    I wish it didn’t have a blue/green tint to it that’s kind of disappointing especially if you have very good vision mine literally will make a white fence not white anymore

    I wish it had a focus feature like my Sig Kilo 2000 the original version not the grey colored shadow version that’s not near as strong that died right after the warranty died too.
    After receiving the Hd 2000 I have a couple comments
    It does have an ocular focus on the eyepiece and functions good. The glass is very clear.
    When compared to another Sig rangefinder it always shows a yard or two more vs the Sig. with bow shots I deduct 2 yards for out to 50. Because I have measured the distance and know the vortex is a little off.
    But overall I do like it and love the warranty forever.

      It might seem annoying but it’s Vortex…lifetime warranty so use it until it breaks or stops working and send it in. They’d probably replace it with this model at that point, unless they have a bunch of Rangers in storage.

    glad guarantee includes electronics - my leupold rangefinder died after 10 years and leupold told me to F-off.
