If we were submissive to every man that came along, then we wouldn’t end up with a good man in the end and wouldn’t have a way to “weed the bad one out”. Because the times have changed and we are given the opportunity to higher education, careers, and the ability to own property and make our own decisions, we have to be capable of standing our own ground in that factor. That doesn’t mean we have to step on men to do that successfully. However, it also doesn’t mean we should trust any man along the way. We are no longer under our father’s household until marriage-thus, we’ve lost the ability to have the protection and financial support by doing so. (We can still seek guidance and such from our fathers, but ideally we are left to be independent). Realistically speaking, we HAVE to succeed at independence due to the societal shifts in the last few decades. That doesn’t mean a woman has to be tough or hard natured.. it just simply means she has to look out for herself. And that doesn’t mean she’s not capable of being submissive. I know for myself that I am only submissive to four men in my life-God, my father, and my brothers. So technically, I practice that daily on those who have earned my trust. I seek their guidance and given heavy weight to their words. Certainly I would submit to a man I’m dating if he can earn that same place as them. I went through way too many women in my youth. Most were shit, but some were amazing ladies. Especially my daughter's mother. She was and still is a great woman.
