- In this video I cover why Low Enrage Arch Glacor streaking might not be worth your time. This video (admittedly) is based on a small sample, but I use the wiki calculator to prove my point. The Arch Glacor is a boss that's good money if you can streak high and have dedication to keep going until you get a frozen core.

@SuperFutureTrunks1 Ah I see why rs3 died, they killed bossing, there's literally no point of bossing unless you're a pro player watching stupid guides for hours, then it takes 80+ hours in game to get an item after you've finally taken the hours to master just one boss, this doesn't account for lag, which I've died to soo many times, if you mess up one mechanic usually you get insta killed, wouldn't be so bad if it was one or two phases, but 5, they should just allow revolution back and lower the bosses atk% abilities by 75% when you switch, I do like EOC, but it completely ruined bossing, at least for me, they should just add another 50 uber rare items to the hard elite and master clues so asshole flippers can't just yeet them off the market that way the rest of us can obtain some max cash items more routinely considering how expensive everything is getting like fuck its a game not real life I don't get why real life mechanics that aren't fun are ever even added to games

Thoughts on rebuffing commons protoxx? 100 kills in with a 170m chest on 12+hours barely paying for the upkeep of Sirenic+onyx and hydrix bak bolts e.
@SuperFutureTrunks1 legit have spent at least 170-200 hours at arch glacor without a core drop months of my life since I only play a few hours a day. Pushing enrage just becomes a war of attrition, 10min kills aren’t even fun considering you can go to aod or solak and put in way less effort for a better drop rate and gp/hr. And since streaking at a certain point doesn’t even affect rare chance once you get to 1000-2000% v 0 streak high enrage claims you only make more gp in commons if you get salvage, sirenic scale, or water staff drop. 10min 81ks 1400% kill for some spirit weed seeds or summoning focus, thanks Jagex for nerfing commons to increase rare chance but not scaling boss so that core doesn’t take an eternity to get. Whereas 2449% claims at telos are like 5-6 min and has a 1/15 unique chance. Core at 2k enrage is 1/237 and will likely take 16-20min. This is the only boss in elder god wars Jagex needs to fix the drop rates on rares for. Like zuk having a flat 1/30 on hilts for a 24min kill shouldn’t be 7x more likely than a core happening at arch for a similar amount of time spent killing it, or Kerapac with a 1/150 solo for 5-6min kills

I’m not exactly sure why we can’t have HM Arch-Glacor also drop troves as though you were doing normal, though.
This, HM is a joke I would definitely make more money by camping afk normal mode over HM, since I never get any rares from this boss.
The fact you need to be able to streak to 2000%+ to even have a decent chance at a core is crazy. I can currently comfortably streak to ~700% and the amount of time that takes combined with how low a core drop is at that streak/enrage makes me not want to bother with the boss.
Im in the same exact boat, ive only pushed to 707% given the time per kill past that is stupid. These days i mostly streak fromm 400-500%, I have 3500 hm kc with only 1 core T . T
It's so annoying. I currently pushed as high as 1500 enrage. But I haven't streaked past 900% because I always die. Once you get that high literally one mistake is death and it's almost impossible to recover from mistakes at this boss.

I’ve only streaked to like 250%, and I’ve gotten 2 cores. Unfortunately the nilas is what I’m missing. Not a single drop. Cores not being tradable is so annoying I actually stopped playing.

Today I unironically made less than 1,5m from one hour of Arch-Glascor killing from 300% to 700 % enrage. Yesterday I camped in 600% enrage and did the one kill stuff to try to get any rares and also no luck and awful drops.
The common drops in Hard mode are awful, all the money atm is in the rares. Also bots camping normal mode certainly don't help with the low worth of the commons.

Jagex need at least rework the drops, by including troves in the HM drop table and buffing the special attack from the weapons.

They really messed up on the drop rates when it comes to AG I've pretty much lost all motivation to keep doing it. Haven't gotten a single unique other than Nilas.

I completely agree with this video. I recently got back into pvm as an ironman and I was learning AG while streaking. It took me around 150 total kills to pierce the 250% bracket.
If I had instead done 50 - 60 kills pushing enrage, rather than streaking, I would be able to hit 500% on 2 streaks (ideally) within that same 150 kills. As it stands I got (un)lucky gaining 2 nilas drops at very low enrage and ks netting me 4 total nilas. 2 streaks of 50 would have, at the very least, got me 4+ nilas and I would be in a much better position to keep pushing for that desired 1k enrage kill.
I would advise for any irons, or new players learning AG, forget streaks at first. Get a 250% or even 500% kill and get consistent at the higher enrages. Low enrage streaks are a literal waste of time.
ive done 5 streaks total and my highest enr is currently 750% on my iron, seems a lot easier to learn, with less "lol you just die" mechanics compared to telos.
All the mechanics have a really long wind up animation to react to so losing streak is harder than at telos.
But at the same time the drop rates seem so low at low enr when you get set back to 0% it feels pretty punishing :s
The math on this boss has been quite fascinating. Telos was balanced around 1000% enrage and caps out at 2500% while Arch glacor by the numbers appears to be balanced around 2500% and caps out at 4000% in an attempt to not make the mistakes they made with Telos. However the mistakes they made with Telos were only a problem because Telos HP does not scale. I'm content with the concept of being required to be good at the game to get big drops but, they really messed up with the base loot drop table. Crushed nest, banite stone spirits, and Spirit weed seeds are 5% of what it was on release and Its a recurring theme of EGWD % of their release date prices. Getting 100k Crushed Nest in 1 200 ks should never have been possible.
At glacor I streak till 70-80 kill streak and it takes me around 5-6 hours to do such a streak. I usually get a drop every 2-3 streaks. Meaning by doing such streaks it still takes an average of 50 hours or even more than that for one frozen core.
It is funny you mention the hitbox in the intro; as the Arch Glacor is the sole reason so many other hitboxes are broken and nearly impossible to click, such as ladders and some doors all over the game world.
15 hours doing 0-250-270 with Het with no drops so I'm on a break
They need to stop nerfing stuff so hard... There excuse for this nerf was to much $coming in the game, meanwhile people making massive amounts of alts to farm green Santa's and gphs, pretty shameful on they're part.
Its just early bird bonus. After hype content is nerfed. Idk whats the point of glacor for money now if you can just do Nex.
I’m super frustrated by AG because I’ve been trying to get good at it and get my own t95, but my streaks ALWAYS end due to lag spikes or game bugs, making me feel like I wasted my time
Same here, I don’t know how the hell people streak high enrage, at any boss for that matter, 1 tiny lag spike or delay and it’s over..
1 mech normal mode to farm effigies , troves and keys as well as charms. That's all glacor is good for

If u wanna do 5 mechanics I guess it is ok, I did 3k normal 1 mechanics to farm enough blue charms for 100m to 200m summoning and called it quits after that tho, i just want the cores now for log

I just looked into this yesterday. I am able to streak from zero to 300 without much trouble, but not really passed 300 enrage. Doing the calculator though shows that just starting at 300 is slightly better than starting from 0. It's a shame since I really enjoyed low enrage streaking with my gear limitations.
Then just do 0-300. Counting all upkeep if you are not good in full revo its not worth doing it for steady money.
Yeah and 300% is like where the fight starts becoming annoying because it is hard to kill it on one cycle of special attacks so back to back minions and what not becomes possible.
When 4k?
arch glacors hitbox is the most consistent hitbox in the game.
It's litterally always in the same place. his hitbox just doesn't follow his animation so he isn't in the way if you want to target minions or want to walk close to him while having weird camera angles.
it's not even that his hitbox is small. it's massive. but it's just not moving.
imagine he's doing flurry into minions, and while his minions spawn his arm moves over the minions because he's doing a ranged attack. you litterally wouldn't be able to click the minions if he had a accurate hitbox.
jagex did his hitbox for a reason.
Why does his hitbox not cover the lower half of his body? seems way to small to me :P

@@ProtoxxGaming remember, arch glacor is a BEGINNER boss. Where consistency is better than accuracy.
If you have your camera not in freedom mode, or are playing on mobile, having his hitbox non-moving is a plus
Remember, he has the same hitbox in hard and normalmode
@@ProtoxxGaming It used too, but they changed it shortly after release because the lower half of the body would cover the minions that would spawn and you couldn't click them. It was intentionally done.
All they had to do was buff unique drop but instead they just made hm for this boss not worth it
It took me around 650 kills to get a core. I finished the log at 1298 kills. Now that is before the nerf. I mainly did 0 to 250. I went back after the nerf and did some streaks. It is utter garbage compared to before.
That's sad, no wonder I'm not getting anything good. I'm always below 250%
When they updated the Frozen chances to get core a bit higher I got my first one at 260% enrage and 25 kills. Still trying for a second though with the time I have left with the tablet.
I had 2 cores before I had 10 nilas and the more info that comes out about this boss makes me realize just how lucky I was lol

Man, 85 hours to get a piece of equipment. I wonder how BornForPvm and RuneShark would feel about this. I remember them spending literally MONTHS trying to get a sara hilt drop in their Godsword From Scratch series. literally hundreds of kills and NOTHING.

I honestly don't understand why hm drops way lower common drops than nm. Who had the shitty idea that it would be fair. Especially since i spend most of the gold i get in supplies while doing 0 to 250

I was typically streaking 0-200% because that's about my skillcap, normal mode feels too easy. so now those will be about the same gp/hr despite hm being harder? I don't get that.
I'm the same. my hichest nrage is 232 so i tend to collect around 200. crazy seeing how people can get 2000+ enrage

I went 500 kc hm 0-750% or claim on item no nilas and then got 40 in 2 days. 1 nilas off log 1050 hm kills. 4 cores, 5 books, 3 leng, and pet. Got most of my drops before 300%. Also last 3 books and leng were before 300 even after the update but with drop enhancer. Only thing seems to be fucked now is just common loot I went from getting 200m a chest with no item to about 60-70m a chest now at 50 streaks but the items crashed too prob didn’t help prices. Just alot less commons and the rares seem the same.
I only can get to 200% enrage atm but I find normal mode full mech gets me more profit an hour than going from 0-200% enrage in hard mode.
So far my data pool is from 4000 kills
that's true you get like 1M every kill on normal mode. In hard mode it depends on luck, sometimes you get 10k sometimes 6M

Streaking is literally only good for Nilas now, I hate what Jagex did to the Glacor
The efford to do high enr Kills and the drops is so bad… its not worth it in my opinion… 70 kills and my Chest were like 130m? Thats not even 2m per kill.. and on 800% your around 960k hp to defeat. That takes so long

So this drop rate is why I want to pound my head against the wall. New pontifex ring/LOD should hopefully bring the odds up to 1/500 at a 500% streak 😂
So i've done a total of 2,751 HM glacor, mainly streaking 0/1000 enrage, and I've had 1 core, honestly one of the if not the most demotivating boss in runescape right now, wiki calculator says at streaking 200 at 4K is 108 for a core O_O drop rate is a joke
I have 800+ kills total little over 400 hard mode highest streak was 49 and max enrage sofar is 700 ish. I've gotten 1 artifact and 1 leng and the pet in all those kills. So even if I get core I can't do anything anyway. I kind of feel I'm wasting my time with this boss at my current skill level. I'm not the best but I'm not the worst my gear is pretty good but the grind I know I'm in for is off putting
I love them putting new best in slot grinds into the game that take a long time but I dislike how they never make the lower tier grinds any easier with it. Its like 100+ hour grinds for most best in slots and I just can't bring myself to do it on an iron while thinking to myself "In a few years it will be out of date and something will be better". Whenever they put new best things out the old best things should become easier to obtain.

I have 2 cores sub 475 kills with max enrage of 511% with a scripture @0% after claiming a core. After nerf
They really should fix these drop rates and make it so bosses like zuk who has a dps check only have a dps check in hm. It's goofy normal mode zuk has a dps check. With arch glacier it's goofy you can't get troves and the drop rates are equal to the other gods only in hm at 1 to 2k enrage.

So basically you have a higher chance of getting a Torva Platebody drop worth 200M at Nex in a much shorter space of time compare to making bank at this boss. On the road to Nex title fellas.
Nex, released 2011, is also more enjoyable, especially duo kills and decent chance of getting a unique item each hour.
It's not rocket science people... Streaking 0% till death is best money per hour but if you looking for uniques you have to push enrage. It is what it is.. Look at telos and 2499 claims. The only two points I can agree with is the drop rate is still kinda high even pass 2k enrage and the time per kill is incredibly higher if compared to telos because of the scale hp mechanic.
It's a 1b drop I'm sorry but it's not meant to be farmed by everyone.
What exactly is streaking and enrage when it comes to Telos? Just started playing RS3 again and highest boss I’ve kill is Araxxi and KK.
With telos, you ideally want to start at 100% enrage to maximize your income if you're unable to start considerably higher.
Start at 100% with no kills would give you about a 1/225 for a unique. Streaking from 0 to 100% would get you around 1/150 for a unique.
In my opinion, the difficulty compared to reward with telos, it is not really worth going much past 500% if you're not confident, as going from even 100-500% is below a 1/40 for a unique
Streaking means you dont claim loot after each kill it gets harder but you get more loot
@@evesupportzone8240 The alternative for people who are REALLY good at Telos is 2449% enrage, which gives you the maximum unique drop rate without having to streak.
whats wrong with the hitbox?
This boss design is OK but I don't enjoy the way the HP and fight scales because it just gets long and repetitive with one missed prayer ending it all. Not to mention the weird click boxes and the length of time the boss is immune after each special attack.
Like so much content added to the game sadly the boss feels half finished and we know the chance of these issues ever being looked at are slim.

I've gotten 3 nilas drops and 2 artifacts in less then 80kc normal mode is a good and easy money making method for ironman!

Yeah, id rather camp arch.. i camped 3k viddy for 11 lance and 4 crest.. arch, i made 128mill due to some decent average 700-1.9m drop per kills! 2:20 average kill time
So I guess i'll have to lose tons of hours, just started HM, I can't really go past 250, its the max enrage where i don't do stoopid things as a not really high end pvmers. I really want the Book, that's the only thing I want on my Iron hahaha ! I guess i'll have to suffer for a little while haha

Is it this way because of the 1 percent of players that can do 2k+ enrage wouldn't they get cores non stop? But it makes it so the rest of us that max out at like 500 enrage take forever to get a core drop. Or like telos making a full orb set in one run... The rich get richer in this game its pretty nuts when they add a fun new thing like changing a skill into a new skill into the game.... but oh you need to grind this boss and not get fucked on rng for 500+ kills. Or if you want to buy it then its close to max cash, for 1 codex. Let alone half a bill for 1 armor piece. 7 bill for a staff..... half a bill for limitless. Max cash for SBG??!! Prices are just fked. At least for me it just makes me want to get better and learn more so I can farm the harder stuff and hopefully make bank to be able to buy those fun new things. Just takes a lot of time and dedication....and a lil rng I guess.

Man that sucks. Glacor is now just a full on boss for learning pvm. This boss made me rich AND taught me how to use my bars a lot more.
I dislike their drop rate mechanism. It's horrible. I got my first core at 426kc, since then I've done 2k more kills until death and haven't seen a book of wen nor another core. It's total BS. Yet I see so many going to damn near any boss and that boss is pooping out uniques like crazy. Rng.. 🥴

@@itsyourdad6599 enrage have much much more impact on rare drops and commons now, normal drops got nerfed by alot also. If you have around 8-10m/hr upkeep its better to do GWD1 arma as it will give you more money. Without effort. The only saving thing is core which you can get after 100+ hours if counting drop rate, if you are unlucky you get it after 200+. Is it worth then doing if you dont dedicate yourself to obtain it? Idk.

@@itsyourdad6599 Both normal and HM got nerfed. Biggest thing for normal was the loot is now worth so much less as so much normal drops came to the game
runescape needs a quality of life update before they vomit out any more content that ultimately makes the game more confusing and is exciting for a day/week/month before it wears off and we're back to the same latency, movement issues, and things like the glacors hitbox. The evolution of combat needs to evolve again so latency bugs and random inconsistencies aren't why you fail a boss, it should be about skill and paying attention. If they make the game function more smoothly more people will be doing high end content and spending money on keys/bonds/runecoins to get to where they need to be.
Honestly dude. Idk how you say you can streak to 250% in an hour... doing everything I know in my power to dps faster and "get good" It takes me that long to get to 100% enrage, each kill is 6 1/2 minutes
My kills are 1.7-3 (it slows down as I go up) minutes maybe the occasional 3.5 minute kill above 200%.

I'm at about 1.6k kc, streaking about 80 kills per streak, I'd say on average probably around 65. I've had 5 cores so far (3 since tablet came out, very lucky) but have only had 4 separate nilas drops (1/100 supposedly). I have 21 nilas out of the 50 I need so the cores are pretty much worthless to me as I just have no motivation anymore for Glacor, at a point where my bank is hurting and I have about 4b worth of cores just sitting there unuseable :(

@@Blind-zz6zx I usually adrenaline pot then spam all my thresholds to get through core. I save my channeling abilities for last so I can heal while they're active. My damage is low as well but I found this helped
The risk reward for this boss is laughable at 1434% enrage 2.4k kc 111 streak and still have yet to get a single core. Yet some people get spooned core at like 15 ks 300%. Core chance should go up as your streak and enrage go up so that it becomes 40% as opposed to 20% switching with Leng after act. Getting Leng artifact 100 kills in is silly af considering it’s a 30m drop. This would help immensely as dedicating 12+ hours to a streak for no reward or a cheap drop is demoralizing. I’m convinced I’ll get silver iceborn or a 200 streak before core at this point.
