- Hey guys! Welcome back to another video. Today we are going to be analyzing the Arch Glacor drop system and determine the best way to kill this boss in terms of GP/HR and uniques. After we were given various drop rates by Jagex this week, multiple people have been figuring out the exact equation as to how the reward system works for this boss. I even tried to figure out the calculations myself, but I’ll admit, it was a bit too complicated for me. So I want to give a big shoutout to reddit user Soronbe who was able to figure out the Arch glacor drop system. I also want to give a shoutout to Hazlemere0 as he was the initial person to figure out the Telos reward system which the arch glacor solution was based off of.

Perfect timing on the video, I just learned how to kill the boss yesterday and 24 hours later I already have the iceborn title so I was about to look for what's best in term of going for drops so thanksss, can't wait to get some uniques on my ironman 😊
So looks like for uniques just do single claims at the highest enrage you can, or streak at low enrage to get more commons drops for money. Makes a lot of sense

It doesn't. Check out Silenced's Reddit post for an explaination as to why claims are a lot worse for getting uniques, eventhough the rate of unqiues per hour is slightly better.

No, 2500% is the optimal from my modelling. Due to the compounding effects of increasing minion/arm health resulting in more expected minions/arms per kill, the time to kill makes anything over 2500 too slow

1/38 vs 1/35 when you say it like that you make it sound like its nothing but if you were to say its a 8-9% higher chance at a drop suddently it becomes a lot better
Yeah no try looking at pet drop chances and rares for shit like gwd1 gwd2 rax etc. 1/35 is a huge increase
Now here comes the most important question:
What's the average killtime for BIS gear? And then, how many KPH would be considered average (again, with BIS).
General wisdom before the changes was to claim when your kills starting getting near 4 minutes, I think.
I think the conclusion is that this boss isn’t worth doing unless you’re going for the titles.
I use pernix set with ascension crossbows and get 7+ minutes per kill at normal mode. I'm beginner pvm.
@@theepicpeguin that's a good setup! Start using bakrimnel bolts! It will change your life! ruby bakrimnel bolts (e) make such a big difference! And get a decent bar. Ask a clanmate for his or look on wiki for optimal bar for pvm. Manually trigger your thresholds and prioritize snapshot and rapidfire. On the minions, use mechanised chinchompa's with essence of finality with a dark bow if you have it and otherwise something like snapshot. You will get soo much faster so soon, keep up the good work and watch some pvm guides :-) essence of finality should probably be your next buy. Nuzznuzz has a great ranged gearing guide.
@@theepicpeguin also: start using a ripper demon familiar with scrolls!!! Do you have overloads unlocked? Always do sunshine at the beginning of the kill after you go there full adrenaline from war's retreat adrenaline crystals :-)
I get around 1min kills at 0-50, 150 2 minutes ,200-400 3 mins, at 800-1000, 3:30-5 mins, that's pretty much bis.
Full sirenic, mostly bis perks, blightbounds, fleeting boots, cinderbanes, 3 eof DB, SGB and ECB. Xil cape, Hydrix/ruby baks. elder overload salves t99 pray with inspiration aura/reckless
1:41 He meant 750% enrage there instead of 75% enrage for a 1/117 chance of a unique drop.
as for december 2023, did a 0%-600% enrage 54 streak, made 90m, 0 uniques, 3 nilas
Has this changed anything after video was made? Hasnt played in almost 10 months and the new updated pontifex ring seems to buff the drops if im not wrong

I'm want the the rares, I have 400 normal mode kills and almost 700 hm kills and only 7 dark nilas and no other rares. I guess this boss hate me, while Kerapac love me.

So for noobs like me that are still learning, whats the chance at a unique if i'm not streaking and doing 0% enrage on hard mode?

In your calculations are you considering that as the fury rises the boss considerably increases your life and takes much longer to be killed?
Yes I took that into account but it was estimated

when im streaking from 0-250% with around 20 kills an hour im only getting like 10-15 mil an hour not even close to the 36 whats going on?

I really disapprove of the way you design the chart. It's a linear y-axis chart, so everything is proportional. The drop chance is much larger at the higher enrages, but on your chart, it's inverted, so it's already pretty super close to 0. However, if you introduce streaking, it can affect drop chance no matter at what enrage it is at, and starting with a higher drop chance (i.e. smaller kill expected to get 1), you will not see as much of a difference on this linear (but inverted kills) chart. It's just much better to graph logarithmicly than linearly.
idk which graph you are referring to but the first graph is a inverse function(if you based it off reddit eq) or logistic decay model(i rather call it this base on the graph seems weird to have some inverse function and i would assume that as you continue to streak the drop rate for unique should drop while common drops go up), you can have those in a y/x axis chart. now if you are referring to the eq on wiki and correlating it to this one then yes we expect the model to be linear because we made the assumption the model is linear(wiki mentions this). otherwise you can expect some inverse function just weird u mention proportionality when inverse should be also proportional.
220 normal kills here got 4 dark nilas, 1 scripture, one leng artefact...
How did you come up with enrage goes up 25% on average per kill ?
Enrage goes up 5-20% per kill so I used an average increase of 12.5%

However the only thing I see for your streaks for uniques. Using an average enrage increase isn’t truly correct because the drop rates are not linear
Great vid, another important note. At 1000% enrage, although it is a 1/91 chance of hitting the rdt, there is also a roll for the uniques. The chances are 1/5 for a core, 2/5 for wen book, and 2/5 for a leng artifact. So it’s not a 1/91 for a guaranteed core drop if anyone was thinking that.
Like silenced touched on in the video, if your goal is to make as much gp/hr at this boss it won’t be from getting cores. Unless you get super lucky, but that isn’t the average player.

Don't think I understand streaking properly. Streaking involves not claiming? Does that mean not picking up drops?
Drops don't go on the ground in hardmode. It goes into a chest and every kill you have to choose to either claim the loot, or continue the streak. If you choose to continue then you cannot claim loot until you get another kill or die. If you die then you lose a percent of loot.

Yeah I streak from 0-300 without aura and scrim, then at 300% to be sure I introduce yak and aura and grim, and streak from 300% to 800, thats where I usually die , idk my pc freezes when he loads up the cannon sometimes and my ability bar blanks dark somehow, idk if this is a driver issue or bug , doesnt seem to happen to others but during the minifreeze of my screen I can't press my devotion in time so I end up dead because sometimes that says FUCK YOU.

New "buff" is rly bad. just finished a 0-1000 enrage and it gave me 0 unique and 120m chest. for a 86 killstreak 0-1000.
Fyi. before the update a 0-500 enrage claim would yield me around 200m without uniques

So basically they've made streaking kinda pointless and you should just do the highest enrage possible..

Streaking does give you a higher chance at uniques but the enrage is what mostly effects the drop rate on uniques.
Once you reach higher enrages, streaking has very little effect on the drop rate (ex. at 2500% enrage and 1 kill streak the unique chance is 1 in 38, but at a 50 kill streak the unique chance is 1 in 37)
It is not. Silenced posted his vid to Reddit, and Waswere explained very well why his conclusion is the wrong one. In short he said that doing 1000% claims to get a core vs 0-1000% streaks to get a core saves you only two hours, but you are giving up on 1.3b in common look. So yes, technically doing 1000% claims is slightly better for getting core drops, however, those two hours you saves cost you 1.3b. His conclusion was that doing claims vs streaks is not worth it for anyone.
Theres a big risk in the 0 to 1000 streak lol. Thats a big factor
@@postifan1362 there are also a lot of kills in a 0-1000% streaks that are way, way easier than those claim kills. If you are gonna struggle with the streaks, you are gonna struggle with the claims.
@@postifan1362 point is, he didn't even compare how close the two were in terms of unqiues per hour, which is the relevant part. The video makes it seem like claims are significantly better uniques per hour, when they are not.
