Floor was recovering from the flu she had 4 days prior in Bogota. Floor was not 100 % & the symptoms stuck with her throughout the South American tour.
This song always makes me happy! Troy with his beautiful Irish Ulleann (Ill-en) pipes. You guessed right haha. Ulleann means elbow in Gaelic. The air is pumped in a bellow with his right elbow and than pushed to the bag under the left. Very difficult instrument to learn to play due to several moving parts. Cheers!

Not necessarily one of my favorite Nightwish songs, but definitely one of my favorite Nightwish performances! And really, this song is always a crowd favorite to perform live, but you can't beat South American crowds! That's why it has remained on their setlist all these years. It's an awesome crowd-participation song, especially when Floor is your frontwoman!

You found Troy's Big Pipes. Ullean Pipes....a precursor to bagpipes....more mellow tone. Not many folks in the world play them. Troy....he plays that, High and Low Whistle, Ebow, Manodlin.....he is a multi talented musician. And he sings. I mean....everyone in the band is a virtuoso talent. That's part of the magic.
Troy is a wizard, he can play anything you put in his hands, I believe.

Another great reaction. The crazy Argentinian fans are serenading the band with an adaptation of the local football club's chant. This song, like Storytime, is from the album Imaginaerum, a concept album about an old composer on his death bed reminiscing about his life. In this song he is wishing to go back to his youth when everything, both good and bad. is felt more strongly. Thus he wants his tears back!

I'm dutch too, 71 years old, and I know Nightwish now for 5 years. This band always let me feel good and Floor is the most wonderful female singer on the planet. Nightwish music will always surprise you. Enjoy the ride.
I am Belgian, but live in the Dutch/Flemish speaking part. It is the same language as Dutch, but a different accent and few different words and expressions. A bit like UK and US English.

The crowd's energy was amazing. You could see they feed of eachother and that amplified the performance. Looking forward to more
"Pipes of the Elbow", pronounced as "ilun" (Dutch phonetics) pipes is what Troy's using here. There's a small German bagpipe that shares the softer/less sharp sound of the Uilleann pipes compared to the Scottish, Great Highland pipes. It goes by the funny sounding name of "Hümmelchen" in which Dutch speakers will recognize the word "hummeltje", which means little kid. The low German word for "shortening" (of cow's horns) i.e. "hummelken" even sounds rather Flemish.
Anyhew, keep the wonder indeed but before anything else: pass it on tt next generation. That's how - biologically speaking - one remains "forever young". Cheers!

Nightwish Arena's re-mastered videos are always high quality. Song is inspired by the Walt Whitman poem of the same name. Tuomas is a big fan of Whitman's poetry. This video was put together by a fan as a tribute to the late Ann Waychoff. He took the live performance from Wacken and added the poetry that Tuomas composed in the style of Whitman as a tribute to him from the album version of the song. Very moving. Ann was the mother of the Nightwish Army and did much to promote the band on social media and started the tradition of welcoming new reactors to Nightwish with a little history and background of the band, a tradition Gabriel has nobly continued after Ann's passing, with much gratitude from the Army. If you look closely you can see the words from Tuomas's poem flashing on the big video screen behind the band.

South American crowds are the best , I remember when U.S crowds were like that back in the day , don't know what happened .
You got your introduction to Marco singing , plenty more of that to come .....him and Floor are magical together .
They sounded great together and the energy from the crowd... that was awesome!
Also in this BA 2018 performance, there is no mediocre or bad song (all refurbished songs from 20 years of NW, hence the name "Decades Tour").
One of my favorites: "Gethsemane" (the garden of olives) where Tuomas depicts himself as Jesus, complaining about a lost or unreachable love... This is also a NW song that was covered a number of times, like by Marcela Bovio in her home studio, check it out after the NW version! Marcela is known from performing with Ayreon and Floor, e.g "Valley of the Queens"

Will definitely do more of that show. Dont know if it will be in order 😅. I like to jump around. Its not the way i would normally do it in regular life, but i find it kind of refreshing this way. Its a different way of experiencing music than i am used to.

Nice run;) the Ulleann pipes are Irish, good Mention:) its powered not by blewing in an Sack, but is steered with the ellbow. I had the Feeling( can be totally wrong, no offense!!) you cant connect to that Song bcs of the Lyrics subs missing as good as to Storytime or GLS, and really tried hard to take all in, but missed some Things i love about this specific Recording. For my humble Opinion, the Song on one Side, together with the Professional and devoted Performance, is one Point of this Video. The other is simply how an Flu- weakend Floor sounds like an sick Raven when speaking into the Mic, but is carried away by thew Crowd, sings great as usual, and give Her best derwisch Dancing, and the authentic Happiness, that she put back to the Crowd at Her thanking Them, thats such an " we are all the same, and we should just be healthy, nice and fun to another" Vibe, of that i simply cant get enough:).

You could always pull up the lyrics on another device? Another song yearning for lost youth of innocence. That my friend is an Irish bagpipe, called a uilleann pipe. It looks scarey, but the NIghtwish crowd is so passionate about this band that everyone is smiling, happy, peaceful, and brought to tears. No violence or fighting. Just an extreme celebration of beautiful music and the shared energy and musical experience.

Slaying and dead boys ivm de betekenis, deep and herkenbaar en devil omdat dat een geweldig stuk is om te zien en te horen. Mini verhaal over een zeemeermin die aan de duivel probeer 't te ontsnappen.
