Glad to see that bumper gone it was ugly and it’s looking way better now. Have to come check it out soon. Have a good weekend you all.
Thought to start with it was going to have to stay but we worked past that and yeah way better now
Nice job guys, and there’s really nothing wrong with mint.😂
Builds coming along nicely and sure those colors will get there to. Always difficult not to over think it. At least I know we've had that same struggle.
The c 50 is coming along nicely
But you need to buy that boy some safety glasses
Great video 👍👍👍
Coming along nicely on the c10 build. Don't worry about the paint job it will be fine.😂
Just watched Cleetus put a 632 in a breadvan and it made me think of this project, with a 632, and now you uploaded aswell
It would kill the budget and kick me out of the build off but a 632 would be worth it!
Always have to adjust when doing something off the wall !
Beige for the walls!
All in all. Both aspects of the "builds" truck and building. It's looking real nice from where you started!
Thanks!
For the steering box, I would make up a spacer out of 3/8 or 1/2 plate, fill the holes on the frame, weld the spacer in the correct position to match up to the steering column shaft to the box, then drill through the frame through the spacer. No need to waste money on u-joints.
The truck and building are coming along nicely.
Hmm that's a thought I'll take a look at that again
The truck is looking good! You've got the sanden ac compressor that's super easy to convert for on board air! I'll try and get that video up soon on how to do that conversion on the colorado grown channel in case you're interested in going that route. The sage green looks better than the yellow at least lol
Thanks!
I'll check it out when you get it posted!
Truck is looking good. Thanks for sharing.
Julie looks good in front ov every color lol ,
I like the yellow
Great video guys thanks for sharing with us all
Thanks for watching!
Your poor wife, bless her heart. Try celery green... or good old fashion white and a accent stripe. Nevertheless it is looking great. Hang in there and as with everything. Suddenly the right color will come out and it will be done ✔️. The truck is coming right along. As another rat rodder says.. it's getting there just not there yet. 😎👍
Good old Rat Rod Bob!!!!
That office colour segment was fun. Left a smile on my face. Thanks, Cheers.
Glad we could bring a smile to your face!
Truck is Coming along nicely Antony And the yellow walls was nice Julie
Thanks
It’s always amazing when building a custom vehicle, how you solve one problem, and then realize it created five more things to figure out during the fabrication
It's part of the game for sure but it's part of what makes it fun too. At least for me!
The C50 (I say that as though I really know what it is:)) as far as the walls are concerned you are going to cover them in all sorts of colourful things so best to paint them plain white. Old buildings had a sort of whitewash on the ceiling and it was white.
Nice one Anthony, it looked like magic as you lowered the cab and the steering box lined up close as it is! I think Julie is on to something with the green undertones in her wall color choice!
Awesome to see the progress on the truck Congratulations to the winner of the banner And I like the first color Is in the office
Nice progress on the truck and I think the front office is coming along great! I love the accent wall with distressed brick and revealed plaster. I like the color of dark blue on that wall. You are probably right about the mint wall being a little off, maybe a touch more olive. That front office is looking great so don't sweat it too much Julie!
Good Job guys! And tell Julie FOSSIL GRAY is the color. Not dark but looks very Professional & Modern. Home Depot $98 for 5 gallons. And that's my 2.7 cents for today. Love you all.
If you're leaving that brick exposed, find a color that compliments the brick and run with that. Old brick pops with a good accent color. Great progress on the truck. Looking forward to the next episode and seeing it in person at the saloon.
Anthony, on the air cleaner- you could have got another five just by flipping the lid and putting it on upside down, don't cha know? Awesome watchin ya'll parse and patch your way through years of Chevy/GMC parts choices. The vision is getting clearer and clearer! The echoes will get better as the area is "populated" with things softer than stones, bricks and concrete. Just hanging a huge panel of burlap sack cloth on one side of the shop or ceiling would do a lot. Like a lot of your plans, Anthony, it doesn't always take a gazillion bucks to get there. Quit readin and pick up the tools! Fred
We have over 500 sf of sound panels in the ceiling now and it made a big difference. Your right with more stuff in the room it will get better. I only bring up budget because we can only spend 5k as per the rules of the build off.
Fantastical content brother man. TY
Glad you enjoyed it
The truck is coming along nicely 👍👍
Hey Anthony & Julie
Glad to see the cab and front group fit is nicely on the former motorhome frame.
I figured you were going to bag the front axle so it would drop the frame allowing a better look for the wheel opening.
If you get even close to the rendering it will look great.
I would think a light tan would look good in the office area with the used brick and muted black.
If that dark Walnut trim is for that area it should go well with a light tan.
Joethanks3745 below is right about getting some safety glasses for Conner.
When in the shop, WEAR safety glasses !
Take Care Kids
Yeah bags are to come. Basically we are building the truck then we can take it apart and make it cool
Yeah I won!!!!!!!
I can't believe I won
Hi Shane! Congrats to you man! email Julie@hardcorefab.com and we'll get that banner headed your way!
Wow y'all do great work I live in Lexington South Carolina i would love to win the truck i really would thank you
you know sometimes you run into that one guy who's just a know it all, yah thats me, cutting with a torch and no face shield or glasses will get you in trouble sooner or latter, don't let your son do that anymore if you care about his eyes,, the time you spend driving him 2 the doctor would be better spent on something else you'd rather be doing, sometimes its do as i say and not as i do,, and i know how that goes to.. keep on trucking and be safe, catch you on the next one...
Yes- I'm amazed at how many youtuber do work that I unsafe, e.g.,grinding without a guard over the grinding wheel, as you state, using a oxy- gas torch without darken glasses.
Little girls had the 64 count box of Crayons , boys got the 8 count and two or three of them were missing.
lol
Paint each office different with automotive themes. Like a 90's light blue with pink and purple scallops or something in the style of Rat Fink. There are many hot rod and custom car styles out there make each office a cool old school design
Place is looking great ‘ Dove gray is the color for you . Truck looking good.
Hey! That's the color I ended up with in my office! Behind this big room
Accent lights ,no worries about dark areas looking good Julie
That breather was only an extra 12 horse power and you know it,hot shot...lol..If you have a Home Depot near by try a paint color called Rich Taupe. Looks good in that setting I think anyways, maybe,it could...Thumbs up!
LOL you got me 12 HP it is
Looking good. I love y’all’s new shop
Thanks 👍
👋 Anthony and Julie...😎👍
The office is looking good! Just need to faux-tina paint the walls! New and shiny is hard for guys like us!!
Yeah not really my thing. We have changed it 2 more times now but I think we are finally happy with it LOL
The light yellow is Ok but the room is large . the accent brick wall looks fantastic. Now there is no reason you can't have another accent wall to break up the yellow, a darker color maybe the same green that's on the brick plaster painted on a short wall would look great.
Good morning
and to you!
What color lights are you using? Yellow warm or led green. The walls are mostly picking up stray color from the entry window's light, the colors outside and each reflected surface. But it will also change from the bulbs color, like that minty looking sage. Hope this helps. Love the truck.
Don't over think it
U should pressure wash at this point it’s easier to get to every nook
After we get everything fitting we will blow it apart and clean and paint up everything
Hi love the build. What will you do about the bellcrank steering replacement on both sides from the motorhome after cutting the front frame off?I am building a COE with the same motorhome chassi ? I don't know if it's in way like yours was, but probably because it's a COE. The steering stablizer is part of that system. Nice office! How about glazer white always bright? Thanks.
The one side is going to tie back up straight to the steering box the shock is going to have to get mounted to the bumper
You have all that natural light, but the room is still dark... That makes the color choice easy... Paint them white to maximize the light that you have, your accent/history wall wall will give you color without compromizing the ability of the room to be brighter... Interior decorators have been stupidly trying to get people to color thier walls for decades...
Flip that air cleaner lid upside down.... That's another 5hp.😂
LOL
light Grey
