It depends on how you define ‘best player’. He could be the best player but can’t be the *best scorer* as it’s just not in his nature to be that prolific scorer. He CAN step up and do it like he did in the bubble, but it’s not natural for him to average 28+ a night. If we had Butler doing his thing with someone like LaVine getting those big numbers then maybe it’s possible. As Shaq often says, you need that 1-2 punch but ours is currently Butler when he wants to and Herro off the bench. If Butler is getting 20-22 we need someone hitting 28-33

Because you have to trap or hedge on screens and the GS system is built to get Steph open and he's far easier to stop than kd. Obviously kd was the best player by far.
