I love everything in Adam's intro: slow motion, the way he walks, hair tuck, background music, and the way Eve looks at him.
It's like Adam's made as this ultimate irresistible guy since hello, he's the first man. In a way, he set the standards.
At the same time, however, he's also not really handsome (by today's standards), almost cringey with everything in the intro, even. Ofc, there's also his attitude and view of women--as seen through his treatment of Eve--that establishes everything that's wrong with him as a man.
The irony he represents is so funny.

I just got this odd parallel feeling from Eve and Chloe's characters. They were both "gifts" to and for Adam and Lucifer. Seems like God really didn't learn his lesson, only messed with the recipe to make Lucifer weak around Chloe. The only thing different is that Lucifer was 10000x better than Adam and realized it wasn't about fate. He could've just gone back to hell and stayed there temporarily to get away from Chloe until she died naturally, but he chose to stay and be in love with her. Eve just tossed out the trash husband and moved on to something (someone) way better who helped her grow from immature and insecure to someone who is a bona fide badass.
It was apart of God’s plan probably. Cause he hinted at how far his plan went.

Adam and Lilith were created together, but Lilith wasn't excepting that she must sumbit to Adam and just walked out on him. And God created Eve from the the limbs of Adam, thus making her bound to him, God even have backed up plan and created Naamah, Agrat, Eisheith incase Eve rejected Adam.
In the end, when Adam proposed to all of them only Eve excepted, the other 3 walk out like Lilith. And afterwards, eventually the Forbidden Fruit, rest are history.

That's the whole point. Ever since Eve's appearance in season 4, she's talked about what shit of a husband/boyfriend/companion? he was (I don't think they were even really married) and he had the perfect potential to be a representation of toxic masculinity and how to treat it, so that's what the writers did - and eventually, he starts to realize that problem and working on it and in the end, he's genuinely happy for the two of them and we like him a bit in later scenes even though we haven't forgiven him yet. And if he wasn't an annoying, disgusting, mansplaining and manipulative asshole, Eve wouldn't probably even have a reason to stay with Maze. Now Eve has a story of being stuck in an unhealthy relationship, leaving it, finding love, acceptance and empowerment somewhere else and it shows that toxically masculine guys can improve and fix their mistakes.
Time can change people. Maybe he was a looker at first, but let himself go as time went on. It is a hassle to keep oneself fit and attractive for eons.

The one from records of ragnarok was probably my favorite representation of Adam, not only because he was a badass, but because as the first man and father of humanity, he truly stood for love and family above everything else, while other representations of Adam show him either as a hippie of sorts, someone who is detached from humanity, or just and old and tired man.
