As much as I love how emotional this scene is, can’t help but laugh at the idea of Amenadiel going “left up here” through gritted teeth and giving directions
What I think is even more amazing than the bond that Amenadiel and Lucifer show is the amount of restraint shown by Amenadiel. Earlier in the show we saw Lucifer stop an SUV from going anywhere and lift it up by it's bumper so we can assume Amenadiel is on par with that strength. The fact that he's holding back from not killing this human while being fueled by rage shows just how much control Amenadiel has.
I'm pretty sure they could do alot more destructive things Lucifer was weakened by chloe so if he wasnt mabye he would've been able to stop it even faster and amenadiel is just as strong as Lucifer so probs
Everybody's talking about Amenadiel's rage but take a good look at Lucifer's face at 1:05 - 1:14. Barely controlled fury for the senseless death of a boy and the pain it's causing his brother. There's literally gonna be hell to pay. And at 2:03, Lucifer looks back like "What, you done already? Should've let Maze handle this." Other nice touches: just as Amenadiel takes down the first guy, the lyrics in the background are "So, strike me down..." and when he headbutts the second guy "Debts are due, it's time to pay". Just perfect.
You'd like to believe that... It ain't so though. Sometimes even brothers and sisters can be complete strangers to each other too I hate to say. I was the oldest son and my youngest sister was spoiled six ways to Sunday. I'm NOT as well off as her but then again daddy bought her house, gave her mom's car, you know, SPOILED? But parents moved out of state and told me if an emergency ever came up or if I need a serious favor, give her a call. Well I asked my sis for the very first favor from her. I was in an accident and couldn't work for six months. Regardless I was broker than a joke before I was allowed to work again and a friend loaned me a months rent to keep my most basic bill covered. Lets just say I didn't get ANYTHING for X-mas for myself this year and gave sis my LAST $20 dollars to buy a gift for my friend that bailed me out. This was after I paid back the loan of course. She pocketed it. I couldn't even get anything for myself yet she POCKETED the $20 dollars?!? I gave her to buy a gift for my friend? I told her son what I thought about that and she disowned me for it. Not that it made ANY real differences, she's NEVER done anything for me EVER anyways. But it's kinda sad that sis never considered EVER paying back the favors my parents set me up to do FOR HER. Not going to lie, never did that many for her but on the same note she never treated me like a brother either. I'd stop by, try to strike up a conversation and you would get the vibe she is just putting up with you. So the theory siblings ALWAYS have each others backs? FALSE. Sometimes siblings have ONLY their own back covered and rarely think beyond themselves too. But hey, sis IS doing better than me and I actually don't envy her for it for she is her OWN worst enemy as she SPOILS her FOUR kids just as badly as she was! I got to laugh at the IRONIC twist! But despite that, her kids are pretty rock solid and one is extremely smart and independent too. It's kind of 50/50 with her kids as two are decent and independent and the other two? Lock stepped into self-centered. Not bad given how spoiled my youngest sister is. Love them all though, just... sister disowned me so I'll respect that. Her life. Just think it sucks that even on the rare times our family gets together, as far as I can tell I DON'T exist in her mind. I always wonder how she is doing but it's not like she'll ever answers the phone when I call. Siblings always having each others backs? Sometimes siblings have nothing but backstabbing and daggers for each other too... Well least she's not backstabbing? But definitely treats me like I don't exist. So much for siblings being solid marks for each other.
I love how Amenadiel no longer sees luci as his evil brother, but just his brother and knows Luci would raise hell for him. (Literally) anyone feel how angry he got when his newborn nephew was stolen? It wasn’t open like Amen was but damn it WAS there
Lucifer ain't evil. If people actually Researched him in real world terms(I'm non religious) but I research every obscure knowledge known to man and Lucifer stands for everything humans are(Sexuality, Revolution, Forbidden Knowledge, Music, The fact that every human being are their own God and thus responsible for their own actions) etc. People tend to put legs on his story but all's he did was rebel. The term "Devil" is just a moniker put on him by humans to blame someone else for their shitty actions. At the End of the day Lucifer is an Arch Angel, The first Angel
I love how Chloe promises him they'll find whoever did this, not only because it's her job, but because she can see how much Amenadiel is hurting. And I love even now how as soon as Amenadiel says he knows who did this, without hesitation lucifer responds "I'll drive".
It's also somewhat telling that Amenadiel waited for Chloe to leave. He knows she won't agree and doesn't put her in that position. He waits for Lucifer, because he knows Luci will back him.
@@dogsdreamtoo8427 Michael doesn't exist in this show and lucifer didn't murder uriel moron. Uriel was going to hurt or kill Chloe so he simply defended her.
@@dogsdreamtoo8427 actually he did, did you not even watch the show? It was only thing that was unpredictable. Uriel predicted all of lucifers moves and was going to defeat him. You know why it was unpredictable, because he didn't want to kill him genius.
I love this scene. We never see this side of Ammenedial, and him and Lucifer like this either. Seeing this combo is a growing moment for the both of them.
Lucifer hates injustice. If he'd been the one to "do the kid a favor" and get him out of the gang, and this happened, well, he'd probably be more furious than Amenadial...maybe.
I just started rewatching the series after season 4 and can I just say I love it how close Lucifer and Amanadiel became? And Amanadiels character development I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW.
Yea, too bad Season 3 was over extended and dragged on forever. Now that Netflix has it they're doing very focused, compact seasons and I love it. Stuff happens and it's enjoyable. Here's hoping for Season 5~~~~
This scene is powerful and memorable for a few very distinct reasons: 1) Lucifer is ANGRY. Not his usual loud and boastful anger, but that silent inner inferno that burns when a moral line has been crossed and an innocent person (in this case, a young boy) was harmed/killed. You can see it in Tom's face. His face is flat, but his eyes are bulging and dark. Empty. He is BEYOND ENRAGED. 2) Lucifer is quiet. He is tempering himself because he is not only witnessing the unnecessary death of an innocent, but the pure and raw pain in Amenadiel. He can feel his brother's real raw pain, an ache within his soul. Amenadiel was practicing being a father on this kid, to prep for Charlie. He thought that he understood humanity until this moment. This is when it hits him that not only was Lucifer right about certain aspects of humanity, but that the unjust had hit someone whom looked up to Amenadiel and told him he'd make an amazing father one day. 3) D.B. Woodside's acting here is EXTRAORDINARY. His face reads betrayal, pain, rage, sadness, and vengeance all in a few seconds. The feelings of a parent losing a child, a brother losing his little, and a man witnessing the unlawful death of someone trying to live a better life. Amenadiel is shaken to his core over this, and its because of this, Lucifer knows better than to question it, and him. Hence, "ill drive." 4)Amenadiel only stops himself from killing the man when he remembers that he himself isnt human, that he is a celestial, and that he is better than man, especially this one. Lucifer didn't say anything when Amenadiel stopped short, even though he looked as if he wanted to, because again he knew better. They're brothers. And never has a scene on this show more demonstrated their deep and eternal bond than this one. The narrative was rushed in this episode, but it was still handled properly and with the dignity, respect, and sensitivity required. Kudos.
I love the brotherly moment here. Lucifer didn’t ask any questions when Amenadiel said he knew who it was. He didn’t take any part in beating the guy up, didn’t turn it into a bloodbath, just made sure that Amenadiel wasn’t interrupted. And he didn’t take any part in Amenadiels violence, even though we know Lucifer loves to punish people. I love their brotherhood in this scene.
God I just love this scene Lucifer understands how serious this is, and when Amenadiel says "I know who did this." Lucifer was like, this ain't no joke, this is serious, if his older brother is pissed like that, so of course he goes "i'll drive." cause he knows how his brother would be, and helps him out.
You pissed off two of God's oldest and very powerful angels and you still try to act big? haha Earth... Heaven... Hell... These two cover all three. Try and run.
@Sami Saleh Exactly how Amenadiel is acting is how i get when someone i love and care for gets hurt, i get quiet and i let my rage boil and marinate then i unleash.
Miecyzslaw Stilinski Uriel is the youngest, I don’t know what this guy is on about *Facepalm* Lucifer was the first ever Arch Angel created that’s why he thought he was better than everyone else and deserved God’s place more than God so he started a rebellion. (Narcissistic behaviour)
@@crazydude2361 well yes according to the bible n all luci was the best and most handsome hence the arrogance to try and overthrow god. But in this show amenadial is older than Lucifer
I loved Lucifer saying "I'll drive" He knows his brother and we've watched them grow closer as the Show's went on. I like any chance to see some Brotherly bonding with these 2 👍
*After Lucifer return to hell Amenadiel : brother, we need your help, Chloe needs you Lucifer : sorry brother, as much as i love her, i can't leave hell, or... Amenadiel : a demon scum has kidnapped Charlie and Trixie Lucifer: ...
Ilove how Lucifer doesn’t try to tempt Amenidiel to kill that guy. Luci isn’t interested in corrupting his brother. He just wants to be there for him in his moment of pain.
Fun little parallel here. In the very first episode Lucifer tried to help someone take a path to a better life only for them to die a short while later. Now Amenadiel's going through the same thing after having truly come to connect to humanity. Probably why Lucifer is taking it so seriously.
I love how even when this enraged Amenadiel still controls himself. I mean if he used his true strength the guy’s face would have splattered across the pavement.
Lucifer already knew Amenadiel knew who did it. Atleast that's what it felt like. He just waited until Chloe was done talking and walked away, then he walked up to him to give him the choice, and when Amenadiel said "I know who did this", Lucifer didn't hesitate for a single second. That's how well they know, love and respect each other. Lucifer 100% knew.
What i love is the comparisons when luci stands and is driving with him, like the devil and angel both equal in rage and mind and the silence just makes the contrast seem all that more real, rather than lucifer making jokes as he always does.
The moment Amenadiel saw the kids face Lucifer knew that shit just got real. It's funny I did this with my younger brother when our sister was being bullied by some kids from around the corner so we went there no questions asked and kicked some arse so this scene really speaks to me.
THESE TWO...! You can literally see the brother bond between them, Amenadiel's rage and pain over losing that boy and how Lucifer is like "I don't know him but know how you feel" and was ready to let him punish the wrongdoer his way. He didn't question him or pull any jokes, he was just there for his brother and helped him punish a bad person for killing a kid.
One of my best part of movies is when brothers usually don't get along and share much screen time often. But then they have to team up occasionally and kick ass together... They r really beautiful moments. Damon and stephan Elijah n Klaus Lucifer n amenediel Scofield n burrows Dean n Sam..( although they team up too often)
But political correctness wins again no black on black violence even if one is technically an angel. It would have been more interesting if amenadiel had in Angelic version of the whole devil eyes thing like his eyes glowing a grayish White a similar Hue to his wings. And was that it could have served as a point of growth that his new position would be the in between the beauty of the Divine and The Ugly. Along with a potential new gimmick with them showing The Untouchables the Wrath of paradise and Punishment. With Lucifer and amenadiel occasionally smiting those who evade man's punishment. the occasional Shepherd's to a misbehaving flock so to speak. In the form of Scare Tactics and beatings to turn the dirty sinners in the choir boys/girls not to mention singing like canaries to the detective and possibly a worthwhile priest
@@Doctor_Odin he would've beaten all ten commandments into Tahir if he truly wanted lose it, but Angel of any status are forbidden from killing humans, if they do their wings and powers get removed until they repent.
People often forget that all other angels (like Michael, (in this case Amenadial)) are actually brothers of Lucifer rather than just arch nemesis'. So in moments of mutual agreement, they are gonna have each other's back. That was satisfying to watch.
@ 1:13 u can see from Lucifer's eye movement that he is truly sorry to whoever that killed the kid, not because Amenadiel will kick his ass but because He will probably deny the asshole's entry to heaven . That is why Lucy didn't move a hand in the fight, not because he didn't want to fight but because he will have all the fun and time he needs in hell where Amenadiel or any other Angel can't do anything about it.
All the comments talk about Lucifer's "I'll drive" but I think the better part is how pissed he looked as he walked up behind Amenadiel before saying it. Seeing his brother genuinely emotionally hurt like that pissed him off, and it's great.
I love when Lucifer says “I’ll drive” he asks no questions about it. Lucifer didn’t even know the kid, but Lucifer was angry as well. He knows punishment and he knew that guy crossed a line
Out of all the great scenes in Lucifer this is the one scene that i always end up coming back to watch all the time, in my opinion its the best. Absolute perfection from both men

Should've let Maze handle this."
Other nice touches: just as Amenadiel takes down the first guy, the lyrics in the background are "So, strike me down..." and when he headbutts the second guy "Debts are due, it's time to pay". Just perfect.
Luci has faults but innocent people being hurt or killed enrages him just as much, that's been established from ep 1.
I almost feel sorry for what Luci's gonna do to that guy Amenadiel beat up in hell
“I know who did this”

No matter how many times they fuss, fight, and argue siblings will always have each other’s backs. No matter what.
Straight faxx..👍🔥🔥

I love how Amenadiel no longer sees luci as his evil brother, but just his brother and knows Luci would raise hell for him. (Literally) anyone feel how angry he got when his newborn nephew was stolen? It wasn’t open like Amen was but damn it WAS there
Yeah, and Lucifer was furious.
that was best moment i felt fire in my heart for one second. i cant say what i felt with wordss
Now that is the TRUE definition of a RIDE OR DIE homie. "I know who did this." "I'll drive"

Amanadiel and Lucifer have the best character arcs in the entire show
They were close, before the rebellion that is.
This scene is powerful and memorable for a few very distinct reasons:
1) Lucifer is ANGRY.
Hence, "ill drive."
4)Amenadiel only stops himself from killing the man when he remembers that he himself isnt human, that he is a celestial, and that he is better than man, especially this one.
Kudos.
Beautifully said 🥺👏
I love the brotherly moment here.

Fun little parallel here. In the very first episode Lucifer tried to help someone take a path to a better life only for them to die a short while later. Now Amenadiel's going through the same thing after having truly come to connect to humanity. Probably why Lucifer is taking it so seriously.
