My headcanon is that Vector is actually a clone line to be a perfect villain and the banker only says his is son to not have anyone trying to copy his MAGNITUDE.
It's actually impressive how Beanie remembers tiny details from the first Minions movie and use it just to bash this one đ

Tell me why the opening skit is so accurate đ. But for real, as much as the Minions franchise is described as a "cash cow" I enjoyed it WAYYY more than Lightyear. I love both the Despicable Me and Toy Story franchises but dang, Lightyear was such a mediocre spinoff. I was bored out of my mind while watching that movie. It wasn't horrible but it also wasn't good. At least Rise Of Gru was actually fun to watch and I actually liked the main new dynamic in the movie (Gru and Knuckles).

Either Otto died between this and the first despicable me or illumination went (ok we need a new minion because the others are getting old and we need a new minion to merchandise so letâs make him big and have braces because kids will love that) on a serious note I liked Otto I didnât have a problem with him I thought the movie overall was good I always loved the despicable me franchise since I was very young also you have some of the best commentary I ever seenđ

With the recent success of The Mario Movie, the opening skit aged very well.
The worst part of this movie is definitely the villain. The villains in the other movies were so fun and unique, but Belle Bottom barely got any screen time.

I wanted to see more of Gruâs mum in the movie. Itâs established before that she is also into villainy, and in this movie she learns her sonâs been kidnapped, why doesnât badass mother love come in the finale to get her boy back!?

The one thing that annoys me that isnât minion related, but itâs in like every movie that has a Chinese dragon. They always have a fire breathing Chinese dragon, when in reality they breath water. But every movie freaking does this. But this movie is ok, not gonna go watch it but itâs ok

The minions rise of gru has the most BASIC villains and the only one with ACTUAL personality is wild knuckles and he's BECOMES THE GOOD GUY, that's when you know your movies are relying on the first movie. Personally there was one thing I want to mention that upset me the most out of this movie. And that is why didnât the use the last three zodiac, I was pretty disappointed to see all the hype about them and then to have them not use all 12. Like why go through all the trouble to make them a basically main plot point just to not use all of them, it was annoying to me. And one thing that I have on a Otto theory is that maybe because he wasnât in the 1st movie is because he found and went off with that motorcycle guy? Because Iâm pretty sure itâs cannon that the minions canât die.

I watched the movie last year with my grandma, cause itâs a kids movie. I think the animation is good, the humor is funny at times (atleast for me), but yeah the plot⊠Iâve never watched any of the movies for the plot (atleast the newer ones).

Overhyped for what. It was so fast-paced and everything was happening at the same time to the point to where watching it was overstimulating for me.
