    Man your reviews are awesome. Was on the fence with this one. I’ll definitely grab it now.

    Nice review. I played for about 70 hours, I did everything in the game. Game feels much easier and shorter than originally PS2 and PSP versions I grew up with.

      I felt like I had an easy time of it too. But wasn’t sure if that’s because I did everything in Disgaea 5 so knew how to blast through it.

    Great review! I’ve always been a huge fan of tactical RPG’s, But I’ve never played this before. Looks like I should give it a try!

      Disgaea is definitely a unique blend for tactical RPGs. Can’t beat a level? Don’t want to out think it? Go from level 30 to 50 in ten minutes with some concentrated grinding. Or just level up your weapon or weapon buffs.

    I may play it for the systems that are involved. Every since Fire Emblem, I have loved different approaches to buffs/debuffs. The demon senate system is quite interesting.

    • @ScrabblePlays
      @ScrabblePlays  Před 5 lety +1

      The Senate is pretty cool. You need to either bribe or defeat Senators in combat if they aren't interested in passing your bill. I am definitely anticipating Wargroove and Fire Emblem. without them, we need more strategy games.

    I've never played a Disgaea game before. Thanks for the overview. The senate system seems pretty awesome and I love all the little animations for the attacks. Does Disgaea 5 have the senate system as well as the constant leveling up of different aspects as you use them?

    • @ScrabblePlays
      @ScrabblePlays  Před 5 lety +2

      It does. There are even more things to level up and even more systems in 5. It's got cooking for setting buffs pre-combat and a farm for the item stat boost characters where they will grow stronger and breed new ones. Each class there also has specific abilities that can be unlocked and attached to your characters that are passive skills instead of active ones. You can also set subclasses. It's insane how much there is to do there and can be a little overwhelming your first time.
      But like all Disgaea games, you don't need to go all the way in if you don't want.

      I played Disgaea 1 the original version and don't know how to bribe the Senate untill later on XD

    why change the old monster classes with imps, reapers, and mushrooms? the attack hell pepper?

    • @ScrabblePlays

      If I had to guess it’s because they just used sprites that were already done for D5.

    I need to know the extras stuff in D1C, can u elobrate it? Or do you have any video on comparison the original version with the complete version?
    I heard it has multiple ending, and lots of unlockable characters

    • @ScrabblePlays
      @ScrabblePlays  Před 5 lety +1

      It does have multiple endings and lots of unlockable characters, but those aren't unique to Disgaea 1 Complete. They were already in Disgaea 1. This version takes the version released on the PSP and remasters the graphics and music to be the best that they've ever been.
      There is a large post game. A lot of additional maps and bosses. Then there's Etna Mode which is an Etna specific story. But none of these are new.

    what? they didn't port the gamesystem into the disgaea 5 quality of life system? this is a useless remaster then. does it even include the Disgea DD?

    • @ScrabblePlays
      @ScrabblePlays  Před 5 lety

      I honestly don't know what DD stands for here, so I couldn't tell you. I had been hoping that this was going to receive a lot of the QoL improvements from D5.

      Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness
      from wiki:
      The game is a sequel to 2003's Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PlayStation 2...
      i mean this game is called Disgea 1 Complete, does it mean it includes the sequel too?

    I think any remastered version is worth it if you haven’t played the original.... that way you won’t compare it and realize how much the new one sucks😂

    • @ScrabblePlays
      @ScrabblePlays  Před 4 lety

      I did play the original a few times, but never to completion. I actually prefer this version, but I think it’s a matter of personal taste.
