After the beach came the forests of Northland. Boy, were they difficult! Day after day we were slipping and sliding all over the place trying to navigate our way through these dense sections of bush. With its challenges, the forests also offered a glimpse into some of the untouched native bush of the North Island. It was definitely one of my favourite sections of the TA.
