Namaskar. Thank you for your initiating this master class. Keep non astrology viewer in your mind while explaining the influence of celestial objects. The point to be emphasized is minimum three planets are in charge of native's life with collective responsibility only. Planets deliver the results without any prejudice and as per the role assigned in the natal chart. Pariharas are not for making them prejudicial to be favourable. But to make them change their intensity so that native will have lesser and comfortable suffering as per prarabdha.

Ketu-Ketu begins for me on October 12th, 2020. Ketu sits in the 11th House of Taurus as a Cancer Ascendant.
Rahu-Moon sit 2˚ apart in the 5th House of Scorpio. Ruler of the 11th House of Gains, Venus, sits in the 3rd House of Self-Effort.
Ruler of the 5th House of Speculative Investments, Mars, sits in the 4th House of Emotional Security, Libra, also ruled by Venus.

Komilla ji thank you for starting this master class on vimsottari dasha..it is very timely..Pt Sanjay Rath has importantly stated that for Karkata lagna Sun Mahadasha is very significant being the 2nd lord also the crossing over the gandanta from water to fire sign it has a huge impact on the natives life in a negative way..I have found this to be true in my case..while doing the master class on the Sun MD and crossover of other Planets from water to fire sign planets you could share your thoughts on what Pt Sanjay rath has said and enlighten us on the impact on water sign ascendants.

I am now in a Saturn Mahadasha/Rahu Antaradasha...Next april I will enter in the Jupiter Antaradasha, the last subperiod of Shani's Dasa.
My Moon is in Punarvasu Nakshatra - Pada 1. It's a Jupiter rules Nakshatra. I've Libra Ascendant. Saturn is in Sagittarius, Purva Ashadha Nakshatra - Pada 2.

Actually : Vimsha is “20” and uttara is “beyond/extra” - shata is “100” and the full name would be “vimsha-uttara-shata” . Since the word “dasha” is feminine gender the adjective is also rendered feminine i.e. Vimshottari. 🙏🙏🙏

Guruji could you benevolently advise as to on what basis are the 9 planets assigned the dasha periods as per Vimshottari Dasha system.
I mean why Sun is assigned a dasha period of 6 years only, why not 5 years or 7 years or any other period.
Why is moon assigned a dasha period of 10 years why not 9 years or 11 years or any other period.
What I want to inquire is that is there any astrological / mathematical logic pertaining to the angular velocity of the planets, or is there any correlation with the orbital periods of various planets, or is there any principle stated in the Brihad Parashar Hora Shastra, Jataka Parijat, Phaldeepika, Saravalli etc .
Is there anything in the Shastras sir or its just like that,
Sun. - 6 Years
Moon. - 10 Years
Mars. - 7 Years
Mercury. - 17 Years
Jupiter. -16 Years
Venus. - 20 Years
Saturn. - 19 Years
Rahu - 18 Years
Ketu. - 7 Years

A native has Guru/Rahu dasas. Maybe good for legal work? The native's father was a barrister. Guru is in the 5th and Rahu in the 6th.

If a person is running the mahadasha or antardasha of Shani,Rahu,Mangal or Ketu they can perform the graha specific remedies by default (without looking into houses signified etc.) because these grahas could cause some issue anytime during their phase.

I did my Venus dasha up til I was 15 years old. Maybe on outside others maybe thought I had it great but I don’t feel it was that great. Did I have a bad Venus placement?

How much time at the beginning or ending is significant? Just the first period? For example, Rahu-Rahu, vs last Rahu + whatever last planet is with it before Jupiter? At end of Mars, I knew I was ending and going into Rahu so I got up and moved to a foreign land on my land, or else something was gonna kick me out.

Capricorn moon in uttara ashada. So my life started in Sun dasha being my 8th lord. Born as a sick baby and almost died at birth. I was in the hospital for a while. Because Sun is sitting with Jupiter, the 12th lord I guess. Thank you for the explanation Komilla
is your lagna or ascendant also Capricorn? For individual general predictions, we have to consider lagna or ascendant and calculate and not from moon sign placement. Generally day to day transits should be considered from moon and not otherwise. Now most of the astrologers are asking to consider both from moon or lagna for day to day transits. it is wrong. Routine transits are to be taken from moon sign only. The best example is for past 2 years people born in Sagittarius rasi or moon sign are having more difficulty due to sade sati and not Sagittarius ascendant people who I know are not in distress unless their moon sign also same Sagittarius.

Now more intense period assaturn is traveling in your own rasi . watch out for sun antardasa in any dasa and that period will always be tough as sun is 8th lord for Capricorn. The 6th and 8th house lord always gives setbacks and for Capricorn lagna it is 8th giving more setbacks than 6th house lord mercury as Saturn is friend to mercury and enemy to sun. so it is good that sun and moon dasas are over for u in young age.
QUESTION :
Komilla Ji, could you please address concept of Vimshottari Variations, such as Aadhana, Kendra, Kshema, Uttpana. Why do no astrologers discuss this or teach it? I have personally tried this on many charts and it does work, you can try for your self Sir Winston Churchill and Ava Gardner (you will see their marriage timing makes most sense when the correct vimshottari variation is used). I have learned of Vimshottari variations from the video below, kindly watch and please please please clarify for me your opinion on this subject. Specially with regards to when moon ruler is aatmakarka! Do we see vimshottari from aatmakarka? Very blessed to learn from you.

I'm experiencing my Venus mahadasha. I have an exalted Venus in the 7th house in the nakshatra of Uttara Bhadrapada ruled by Saturn. Shani is in Capricorn in my 5th yuti Surya. In ashtakavarga my Venus has 7 points, but Pisces overall as a sign has only 21 points. Komilla, I am in my Venus-Mercury-Jupiter period, but Venus mahadasha overall hasn't been a very good time. Any insight?
Exalted Venus works on a higher octave. You can give service to people less fortunate than you.

@Raju Kumaran Venus is exalted in my birth chart, so it would also be exalted in the moon chart. It's 7th from lagna, and 9th from moon. (Kanya lagna and Cancer Moon.) Venus is sitting alone. In my D-9 chart, I am a Taurus ascendant and have Venus in Libra also sitting alone. What gives?
