  • It was teased a couple years ago and now is a reality. Marin did a great job on this bike ticking all the boxes for what a really good descent oriented mountain bike needs to be: from geometry to spec to adjustability, this is a top notch bike.
By descent oriented, in the stock mullet 27.5/29" wheels it is a playful bike park or freeridish bike. Switch to 29" on the rear end and it is an EDR worthy enduro raceable bike.
This is the first price point of the 2024 Marin Alpine Trail bikes. At $4299 CND, weighing in at 38.8 pounds it is ready to take a pounding.

That bike is absolutely beautiful and looks to be infinitely adjustable for those that like to tinker with their setup. Definitely a great review. Thank you.

I think that will be my next bike. I've got 2022 rift zone 3 and just got the team marin 2. I've been loving the trp brakes on the team 2 for sure.

I wouldn't even dare say something against marin, you can only post positive comments about the brand on Reddit or you're certain to be downvoted to oblivion. 😂
About the tires I bought these with my own money October last year and I didn't use them much, pretty great in mud but bad at gripping any wet wood, let's say confidence on skinnies was disastrous, I did put my worn out Michelin dh22/34 on and felt a immediate improvement... Michelins were as heavy but the Vee compound isn't as versatile.
I don't like the TRP slate brakes lever but they work very well and feel consistent for value brakes, it's a bit like the DB8's if you put grippy ceramic or metallic pads with thicker rotors they will feel "almost" premium...

I'm still happy to hear criticisms. Nothing is perfect for everyone and love hearing people's thoughts. Thanks. It may also inspire improvement from brands like Vee Tire to keep seeing the feedback.
