honestly Insidious 1 & 2 are so well connected that they've been one of my all time favourites ever.
2nd takes place RIGHT after 1.
3 is a prequel about Elise.
4 is another prequel about Elise that is important to what starts the first one.
5 is a sequel to 1 and 2 with the family 9 years later.

Personally this franchise just gets better, for me Insidious 3 and 4 stole the show! They were amazing and the villian in season 3 was nothing less than perfection! yall are in for a ride and remember this movie has one of the most and best jumpscares out of any other movie franchise out there with conjuring being one of the exceptions

Why though everyone should watch according to realising date , that's what director wants , that's how it should be , then only you can enjoy, obviouslyy those who are following insidious franchise from beginning they saw this part first right? They can't see the future like oh wait let's wait for the prequel, now that all parts have been released no matter what it should be watched this way only
