British vogue interview with Naomi, Christy, Cindy and Linda brought me here. After they referenced Linda’s August covers remark. Her bluntness is her trademark, I’m here for it. Also Lauren’s prophetic comment to them at the end saying “you’ll grow as women, your faces will change, and people are interested in seeing what kind of women you’ll turn into” She couldn’t have been more accurate. Actually everything Lauren said was so real, honest, thoughtful and ultimately true.
I never saw this before but seeing it after the Vogue supermodel reunion makes me think how self aware, intelligent and foresighted these women were! Yup Lauren Hutton hit bullseye in the end.
I love seeing how relaxed Beverly and Lauren are. That undeniable "chill and be yourself" factor that only comes with age. Meanwhile, the other girls seem worried about the industry not calling anymore etc. Cindy though, seems like the thinker among that group. Her questions, the way she pushes forward the discussion is really refreshing. She brought up some real issues that most would back away from even bringing up.
Cindy is very grounded, stayed away from the craziness went on to have a family life. Christy Turlington left modeling mostly to attend college, eventually got her masters, and is a huge maternal health advocate. Naomi went off the rails a bit but is still working. Linda is suing cool sculpting.
I have been looking for this too .....I remember the shady comment Linda makes about Cindy's August cover. Linda acted like she didn't really want to be there.
So sad that I never had a chance to live in that era when models were not just a snapshots on social media and sad stories about their miserable lives like it happens with models of our days, but were MUSES and were SUPERSTARS! They truly were able to transform themselves, each and every one of them was a Person, they had Class, Style, Grace and Dignity. And most importantly they made people dream! What we have now? The models who has to be relevant, has to be “like us”. Who needs that? Not me! So I’d rather spent every single dollar on vintage Vogue magazines on eBay than I’ll follow any of nowadays model on social media☝🏼 OH MY! The Kiara Kabukuru Coke commercial at 14:25 is EVERYTHING! What a gorgeous lady😍🙌🏼 So thank you so much for uploading this little piece of History🤗❤️
I saw Linda Evangelista as a teenager at Schipol Airport. Before social media or cameras in our phones. She was walking alone to her gate or whatever. I approached her and asked her if she was Linda Evangelista. She didn't look at me but said mm-hmm. I told her I was a big fan of her's and that I was also from Canada. No response. Nothing. A dumb starry-eyed kid just hanging there left to dry. She wouldn't even look at me hahahahaha
It is interesting that Linda struggled to answer the who or what that gave her a breakthrough. It kind of lends credence to the rumor that she did the casting couch to achieve supermodel status.
How would that make her ignorant? She’s being honest. She also has stated this in many other interviews she has done which shows consistency. It’s also funny how you singled out Beverly Johnson instead of the other models sitting on that panel. It is not a necessity that all black models require another black model as their influencer. Jeez.
I miss the 90s so much. I was in my 20s during this decade and it was FABULOUS.

I thought about her words as soon as I saw the cover. 30 years later and she shouldn't have been more right! Wise Lauren!
I've taped this when it first aired in 1993....been looking everywhere for it. Thanks a million ❤️
Wow, so cool that you were able to find it!
Haha me too..I was obsessed with this interview, watched the tape over and over again 😄
You beautiful women and still are to this day ❤
'August isn't a big month' 🤣🤣🤣 Oh Linda 🙈🙊🙉
Ahhhh I miss the 90s! I was a kid, MTV, Supermodels, great music and no nils to pay! Missing the simpler times!
Cindy Crawford is disastrously stilted as an interviewer. Just proves it’s a skill that not everyone has, not even high-school valedictorians.
I love how it has the 90s adverts inbetween

I thoroughly enjoyed you leaving the commercials in this segment. What a time!!!
Thanks for uploading!
I watched this show real time! And video-taped it and watched over and over. Good memories. Loved Linda’s new romantic look with that bang!

Fashion & beauty at its peak

Since then, it looks like at least a couple of them have re-shaped their noses.
Love Linda Evangelista ♥️

You mean she slept with men?

I read that somewhere online. Something like that.
Naomi is so ignorant. Beverly Johnson was sitting across from her and she says her Iman was the first model she looked up to.
Iman was the shit

Beverly Johnson was much earlier than Naomi’s childhood. And also Iman was so huge in 80s. Of course, Naomi says Iman is her idol.
No you’re ignorant
