This is how we spoke back in the 80's and 90's. Older generations spoke like this in the 60's and 70's as well. She wasn't ahead, she was right on time with the rest of us.

This is like a wonderful time capsule of the early 90's - the supermodels, the music, the graphics. What happened to the supermodels? Where are today's Naomi's, Cindy's, Linda's??? I sure do miss this era.
As Cindy predicted, Naomi is still working and the Queen of runway. Christy has aged so beautifully, her genetics should be studied.

90s was Cindy Prime and she was voted the most favorite and the most money making Supermodel in her era .
I went to hear Linda talk at Cadogan Hall London during her Book tour, and she said one of her regrets is not working with Helmut Newton, she said she thought his work wasnt really her style. Which is kind of strange as he shot most of the Yves Saint Laurent ad campaigns and they were incredibly elegant. Karen Mulder did many of those ads.

This is the most humble I’ve witnessed Naomi Campbell to be. Today she is the absolute opposite.
She had some addiction issues in her younger years, which she owned up to. There were, however, a few key stories about Naomi being a major diva that are just completely made up.

Linda has a kind of charming Tourette's! She's so much more interesting looking than all others, she compels attention.
I believe she is the most iconic and versatile of this era. Such a true fashion chameleon. Linda is looking like a waif here, yet was just as convincing in those iconic Barneys New York ads, doing a riff on 1950s poses and high glam. I can not wait to see what she chooses to do next🥳
@@periscope7731Linda was a waif; not as thin as Kate Moss etc, but visibly thinner than Crawford, Campbell amd Schiffer. They just didn't refer to her as one because it wasn't her _group_ so to speak.

Do you know how straight up stupid that sounds? A pass; smh. I'm a poor, sideline civilian, and I've watched, and listened to, MANY documentaries about these ladies. There were noted behaviors about her (and others); though usually a constant repeat; just a different documentary. She was made out to be a monster because of a phone incident; that's all that's talked about. She had good friends around her; if she was that nasty, that much, she either wouldn't have such good friends around her, or, those girls were nasty too. ALL of them had the power to do things their way, and they all had a way with words. Except Yasmeen. I know what I'VE heard others say about her. That's where I leave it. Peace. @@user-kf8wb2cq4f

I am the same age as her and looking at this film, the supermodel era had become so commercial. None of them really suit the incoming grunge look although they are having a go.
It was Kate Moss who wore it best.
But I’m a classic fan at heart and so these ladies are queens.

August isn’t a big month. Oh Linda. LOL. She and Cindy as we know are very good friends for over 34 years . Just someone saying something that is probably true and Sept and March are the covers you want . LOL. But Cindy got the last laugh! Over 500 laughs being on the cover of over 500 magazines including over 60 Vogue covers. I think Christy had the most Vogue covers of any model .
Gisele has the most followed by Kate Moss and Evangelista. Crawford actually has the least of the original give supers coming in at 10th place which is strange yet not strange, because although she was more of a print model she was also more commercial than her peers.

Loved this and remembering how bad Cindy is at reading lines lol the camera loves her until she speaks. Rebecca and Molly where nowhere near the model Cindy was but they were great at hosting.
Thank you for uploading this. I have been looking for this for years. I remember when it first aired and my mom walked in and said that Linda was the only one that looked like a model.

The 90's were a difficult time to grow up with the beauty standards set by every advertisement and heroin chic. I love that modelling finally now is much much more inclusive!
I don't think these models were affected by that style/movement.

Yeah, Cindy is the most uninteresting to me, no versatility in front of the camera, same hair, same basic expressions and poses, awful walk, big shoulders (almost manly)...dont understand why people overrate her so much

However of the supers that comprise the Big Five/Six (themselves with Linda. E; Christy. T; Naomi. C and Kate Moss) they have the least amount of Vogue covers coming in at 10th and 9th place, respectively. Which I personally think is down to not only their more commercial aesthetics in comparison to their peers, but the aforementioned above.
