Penn State RB Nick Singleton

Countless college students play video games, but how many can say that they're actually in a game. Nick Singleton will be "in the game" when EA Sports College Football 25 is released on July 19th. "That feels crazy...it's always a dream come true. Once the game comes out, it's probably gonna sink in even more," Singleton told Paul Roberts of SV Sports. They discussed numerous topics at Gov. Mifflin High School during the July 4th holiday. Singleton set Berks County career records over his four years with the Mustangs. He ran for 6,326 yards and reached the end zone 116 times! The Penn State running back was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2022 after rushing for 1,061 yards and a dozen touchdowns. The 6', 227-pound junior finished with 752 yards and eight scores last year. The Nittany Lions ended up (10-3) after falling to Ole Miss 38-25 in the Peach Bowl. Penn State brought in Andy Kotelnicki from Kansas, and Singleton likes what he has seen from the new offensive coordinator. "He's been really good throughout the whole spring. The players love his plays. You can tell we've been more explosive," said Singleton. Kotelnicki spent the past three seasons as the Jayhawks' OC. They ranked seventh in the nation in yards per completion (14.8) and eighth in rushing yards per game (211) last year. Penn State also added a wide receiver in Ohio State transfer Julian Fleming. "He's been around a lot of good players, being the veteran guy. I can tell he's gonna have a good year," noted Singleton. The former Southern Columbia star had 26 catches for the Buckeyes in 2023. Singleton is excited to have Oregon, USC, UCLA, and Washington joining the Big Ten. The college football playoff field is expanding as well. Twelve teams, instead of four, will be in the mix. "We definitely need to get in the playoffs. You can tell everybody is locked in. Everybody is trying to reach that next peak," emphasized Singleton. After the upcoming season, his next stop is expected to be the NFL. "I've thought about it, but my main focus is on this season. The draft can wait," said Singleton.
