- Today we install the Superchips Flashcal + on the JackMonkey Jeep. This awesomely priced programmer is easy to install and utilizes an app to do all the reprogramming to your jeeps computer. There is also a version called the superchips Flashcal F5 and has an ipod like controller that plugs into the OBDII port and allows you to do the same. It is a little more expensive but below is the link for that, it does the same as the flashcal +.

Just wanted to correct some information that you gave that is wrong. While explaining the engine idle you claimed that the tazer mini didnt have this feature. That is false. Not only does it have it but you can trigger it on demand with a combination of 2 buttons on the steering wheel. Its also has other features with on demand with button commands. The tazer mini is more expensive but its got more features and functions than the Flashcal. You can get by with just the Flashcal for some things but me personally I prefer the tazer over anything out there. Even just for the feature of setting an alarm on the engine hood alone I chose the tazer mini. I also like the fact that you dont need any extra monitors or phones and apps to work with the tazer mini. You can see everything on the screen of the instrument panel.

I'm looking to get this for my Mojave unfortunately mine's at 23 model and they have an updated it to work with 2023 models yet. I contacted superchips and they said hopefully in a few months. I'll hold off and wait because I think it's a better product then the tazer mini.

@@JackMonkeyJeep yea disappointing. They said should be updated in next couple months so ill get it then. For now i use the jscan app

I already have the tazer mini for my 2019, will this work fine for that year Jeep? Do I need to anything other than the normal set up if I want to switch to the flashcal?
I’d say it should! I’m not sure how early the flashcal goes back to. It won’t work on a 2023 or newer because Jeep added some update to not allow it, super hips is working a solution!
