Wire size to use when installing equipment on boat

What wire size to use when doing an installation on a boat and 12v battery.
I do say gauge with a heavy accent 😂 but I bet if you could go through the video, you’ll get your right size wire.
English is not my primary language. 👍

Is the length, the length of the whole circuit? Positive + negative?
