      Thanks, Adrian! I had to fix and improve a few things admittedly, but yeah, having fun!

    Max I'm pleased to see you on a new bike. I was at my local Honda shop a month or so back having new tyres fitted to my interceptor. I browsed their showroom and fell in love at 1st sight with a very low kms 2016 Honda CB1100EX. The rest is history and what a stunning bike to own and ride. The Ducati is kind of the bike you wanted to make the interceptor to be. It makes perfect sense for you.

      Hi Phil! Glad to hear from you! You know what... Honda CB1100 (RS) was my crush as well. I desperately wanted the one in deep red. So did you buy it? Congrats if that's the case!
      I like how different they are. Totally different riding experience. And they are good at different things. Ducati is for the faster roads, it can do motorways easily, it's an incredible modern bike. But it suck in London. There is not enough space for it to spread wings.
      Interceptor is the opposite. It hates going above 60 mph (even though it can if pushed, and even 80 is not a problem), but the city and the local 40-50 mph roads is its territory. It has so much character, which is best at those speeds.

      @@thesundayrides I agree. The interceptor is engaging to ride locally but for this 61 year old is a bit tiring on a longer trip. Yes I bought it. They let me try it for a weekend. Then they gave me $1k more than any other shop offered as a trade in. Very happy with their customer srvice for a long time now so it was nice to spend my money with them. My son and I did a 1000km trip over anzac weekend around East Cape down to Gisbourne and through the Waioeka gorge back home to Hamilton. I love the Candy Alizarine red colour and the low down grunt. She's a heavy bike but perfectly balanced and excellent suspension. Its a dream to ride. Not sure how to post photo on my channel but will see if I can.

      As for the photos, you can go to the community section from your CZcams app and post a picture from there. I’d love to see it!

    Great Bike. Own it now for almost a year. I am thinking about to replace the exhaust as well but not sure how it will sound. There are not many options SC Project, LeoVince LV10 and Zard.. waiting for Reviews on CZcams 😂

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks, Daniel! Glad to hear that after owning for a year you think it is great! I know! So little options. I tried the custom exhaust route, but that is ridiculously expensive. I am thinking about LeoVince de-cat pipe and either SC or LV end can.

    • @danielschonemann4212
      @danielschonemann4212 Před měsícem

      De-cat is unfortunately no option for me in Switzerland. Only Slip-on exhaust😢

    So glad your not getting rid of the interceptor. I would keep the tank as it is and buy a used one from Facebook etc. I bought a used one from one of the Facebook groups - a chrome and black one and it was great. You could even try a continental GT tank on it and have a paint job on it. Thanks for the post Max, ride safe.

    Very glad to hear you're keeping the Inty! I'm sure you already know this, but make sure you read the t's and c's on the PCP deal you have on the Scrambler, you have to keep to the mileage specified and be wary of any modifications as you won't own the bike until you make that final payment!

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes, those are very good points - always read the contract. Thankfully, mods are allowed, but the bike must be returned in the original state, should I decide not to pay the second deposit.

    The scrambler is a good bike but I’m selling mine for a couple of reasons. Sucks on American highways (80mph), rear cylinder engine heat and it’s a bit too small for me at 6ft.
    The issue is, here in America, nobody wants a used Ducati scrambler unless it’s way underpriced. Mine has been for sale for 7 MONTHS. No interest at all, fairly priced.
    I’ve owned a Honda Shadow 650, Triumph Speed Triple 995, Triumph Speed Triple 1050 R, Suzuki DRZ400, Ducati Monster S2R1000, Harley Sportster 883 and Ducati Scrambler.
    I will ALWAYS keep my speed triple 1050, it’s a perfect machine. But I’m ready to trade in the Ducati for an American style cruiser.

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Před 3 měsíci +1

      That’s fair! I agree with all of your points. It is not a problem for me, I am smaller, I don’t do highways, etc. but I can totally relate.
      My next bike will be a 1) moto guzzi mandello 2) Harley sportster s

    • @cowmath77
      @cowmath77 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@thesundayrides both are excellent choices. I would also recommend the Indian Scout (since you want to try the Sportster). Here where I live, you can get a used Scout for $6000 now. Thats what I will be trading the Duc in for.

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@cowmath77 I hope next year I can get a ticket to the states, buy or rent a bike and just go somewhere. My problem is I always over plan trips in America. On the map it looks like the destination is close, and then boom 8h one way:)

    • @cowmath77
      @cowmath77 Před 3 měsíci

      @@thesundayrides yes that’s the first thing I hear from Europeans. They think they can drive from New York to Vegas in hours, when it actually 2 full days to drive there. Or California to Boston, 3 days of driving.

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Před 3 měsíci

      @@cowmath77 that’s exactly it! I think google maps use the same colour and other features of the map for different scale - Europe and the USA. So we see a ‘familiar’ map and estimate the distance. I might be wrong. Complete unproven theory:)
