- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today Kosmo and I are listening to the comments as people keep bugging us over and over to stop welding our vehicles onto unrealistic poles. Today we are building a parking lot by collecting a ton of chemicals and we're going to arrange our vehicles properly. @darealkosmo

I'm starting to think that you might underestimate the game just a bit.
To be fair scrap mechanic is kinda infamous for being laggy and buggy.
This pretty much summarizes the entire series
If I had to guess he was thinking it would be as laggy as putting them on the terrain (which is a lot more laggy).

A way to sort items in vanilla - put one item in every slot of every chest (One concrete block in every slot of the concrete chest) so whenever the craft bot crafts something, it automatically stacks in the right chest. Also allows you to shift-click all the items in your inventory and it'll put only the items that are supposed to go in the chest, in the chest.
They have already said that in previous episodes. They don't wanna do that.
@@SonnyKnutson you can already do it, hold shift and drag items to take a single block out of the concrete stack
The devs need to add a garage door, you can put on a flat wall that would allow you to just save vehicles and not have to load them. Or parking pads that when the vehicle has nobody in it it stops loading physics for it so long as the pad is welded to the ground
This would be an amazing idea… until you consider the coding and programming challenges the devs would face doing that
and if you combine the two with walls on all side the car will despawn completely until you open it

@IRealyLikeCheese Didn't know that, but still, it's not pretty. They could just make them useful by giving you flowers for paint when removing them and they don't re-spawn.

Loved the vid! Just a suggestion you should try labelling the storage with the main item they hold in front of the chests.
You should add a sensor to the elevator so you don't have to force others to call it down if you have a build on your lift.
you can still press the buttons with a creation on your lift.

Each bridge piece is only connected in 2 places. One in each end. You could make it more stabil by adding one or two extra connection points per piece. So first a piece with 2 connections to ledge and 1 to piece in front, then one with 1 connection behind 2 in front, 2 behind 1 in front, 1 back 2 front, and so on. Or just 4 connection points so each piece has 2 on each end.

As someone already suggested, attach the collectors to the back/underside of your trucks. This way you pick up all those pesky arms on the way automatically and only have to unload it if its full. And Yes, i know they are heavy, but it's not like you two have a fuel shortage. So it isn't an argument that fuel consumption is getting higher with the higher weigh.
Especially if you place them collectors low, then it will only lower the center of mass for the trucks and tipping them will be harder.
this one would maybe suggest setting up the parking lot with the most used vehicles in the front, or in segments such as the tractors in one line the bobcat and Zamboni in another and so on

Did you know that there are boat lifts that keep boats out of the water so they don't rust. They are generally found in shallow water next to the dock. They were made for small boats.
Build a pipeline up high from the chemical pond to the base and then build a storage silo for the chemicals
Its so amazing to see how much they've done in this world together. They built actual infrastructure, they made a vehicle for everything, they even made god damn tree houses. Its so wholesome to see it all in action like this. I love this series :)
EDIT: You should totally put the helipad, if you make one, on the top or side of one of the trees, so then it's super easy to access and stuff.

Diving board using springs, if that doesn’t work I’m sure you could make a good solution using sensors and logic to simulate bouncing
you can build a small 1 block high frame of material around each space and paint it Color coded to the vehicle. Not only does this help know where to park each vehicle it helps make sure they stay in their proper spot.

In my survival world i colour code my chests and it really helps me to organise my inventories and makes it easier to find things when you have 30+ chests maybe you could try it too (turquoise for water, black for burnt trees, red for component kits and circuitboards, green for flowers and paints, redish brown for scrap metal grey for stone and concrete etc)
11:35 I at some point built a pipeline (with devmode), and it does work, if the chemicals are in render distance. Large pipe systems get extremely laggy, even with just pipes.
Build a lock meckanism so the gate doesn't move when hit. Just look at actual fence designs for inspiration. Most basic solution is a 3 block diameter half pipe shape, that swings down on the side, that does not have the bearring, locking the gate to the fence. The gate is a weak point. It should be solid, and it should still be locked in place even if all bearrings and 10% of blocks were to be removed.

What would happen if you did build a pipeline and kept building past the spawn point? Would it stop pumping or?
Something I found for raiding a warehouse is to turn the difficulty to easy because it lowers the tape bot damage
Now there should be fence around the parking so bots won't destroy vehicles during farm raid

I color my chest on organizing of which things is which like Gray Gray for metal material material just and and blue for water material and green for finished crafting. And the dark screen for putting spud seeds. On my nomad survival Vehicle.

I posit that there is less lag with the new parking facility because all of the vehicles are now on a level surface.
Can you make it a 2-floor parking building to park the small vehicles upstairs?
You should try to make a vending machine like garage
Just a idea it would take many resources but you could have it where you have your vehicles still connected to the ground to stop lag but easy access to use them having 2 sensors and a spud gun per vehicle bay/parking spot have one sensor that detects when you enter the vehicle and causes the spud gun to destroy the cardboard block connecting the vehicle to the ground and another sensor that detects if the cardboard is there or not so if cardboard block is there and sensor 2 actives shot cardboard block but if sensor 1 does not detect cardboard box do not shot helps keep lag down and has quick use of the vehicle with out needing to keep deleting and adding it only then needs you to weld the one cardboard to the vehicle and floor just a idea like I said uses a fair amount of resources but makes it abit more lag free and easy access in process
