Imagine if they came up with this just right before the numetal era. They would have pioneered it.
In all fairness, they did start to record St. Anger in '01 while numetal was in its infancy so in theory I guess you could call them a pioneer similar to when they did load/reload just as the grunge movement started to take off in the early to mid 90s.
Evolution in infancy
Yeah when did nu metal even start cause this is defnitly nu metal
Nu metal wasn't in its infancy in '01 LOL. @@theblackenedone1366 RATM, Korn, and even Primus were creating the sound in the late 80's and early 90's. Coal Chamber was '97, and it is around that time when some fool came up with the term "nu metal". In '01 the fad of the genre was already dying. People were moving on to metalcore.
@@theblackenedone1366 st.anger was released in 2003 when nu metal was a commercial hit since late '90s
Unrealistic, you can clearly hear the bass. If this truly were on AJFA, there wouldn't be any, yet it still does sound accurate and I love it.
I won’t even listen to the studio version of Justice anymore. I listen to the ones with the bass turned up.
@@FilmThePoliceFTP Agreed. I actually LIKE AJFA style covers with bass added. I understand "historical accuracy" and all, but I'm with you- now that we have all these uploaded versions WITH bass, I can't listen to the original version anymore.
Lol 😂
😂
There wouldn't be any bass. This is St. Anger, and Jason had already fokking left the band!
Please do this to the rest of the album
@@antology7 yeah. Do it !!! Do it..!!!
The removal of that beer keg Lars was beating the sh*t out of the whole album is the single greatest improvement to this song.
nah it would have improved it, they should add it back.
honestly, it goes really well with the sound of the album. makes it so angry
а мне казалось, он по батареям стучит...
😂😂
@@joevk6274 🤣
If this was released around 1994, right after their Live Shit: Binge & Purge album and it sounded like this? They would have been gods of metal as far as status. Back when they were still at their prime.
1:46 i always liked this section, now it sounds even more heavy!
Daaaamn. That AI voice sounds good. Its like if James never had to worry about overusing his vocal cords and could just sing his best all the time
Imagine if the St Anger album sounded like this Wow
I didn't know I needed to hear James scream like that at 5:49 ! Good work man!
That was one of my favorite parts of the original song and the way there's a "screaming guitar" behind it
Back in the day , I used to pray that Metallica would re-release St. Anger with proper snare sound and Justice with bass. I don't pray for it anymore because i got it thanks to talented fans like Alex Murphy.
I didn't expected it to be so awesome 😮
Now they sound like Godsmack.
Godsmack has always been a copycat of the "bad" era of Metallica. That's the hilarious part. Metallica gets all the critcism, but Godsmack gets generally neutral feedback.
@@cobrakai9969Godsmack's stuff is sorta similar to it but waaaay better, at least imo lmao. I mean something like Voodoo alone is better than anything from the load/reload/st anger era stuff, lmao.
@@cobrakai9969 I feel like a lot of it has to do mainly with the principal of the sound, not the actual sound or song structure itself. Like Metallica had cemented themselves as this great, founding member of thrash, a very specific sound. But when they changed what they sounded like and what music they were making, is when the fans started hating it and not really giving the music a chance to show its value. That's where Godsmack comes in; they make pretty good music, and from what I've heard, they've kept a relatively constant sound.
Imagine hearing this version live in 1989. 🥵
and it would be much faster
A snare that doesn't make my skin crawl, guitars that don't sound like they're stuck in mud under water...nice 😁
Hahaha...
Its my favourite song of st anger and this job you did is beyond the imagination.
Its fucking enjoyable in this way.
Make more.
Unnamed feeling and frantic too.
Clean guitar and vocals from original version, and the rest from this version would be perfection. That heavy riff is just so good
No jokes but this sounds great
Damn, with AJFA tone, main riff on 1.25-1.5 speed sounds like death metal
Best version of this song so far. Needs a solo and more second guitar in general though. Like in the very end.
The first riff sounds so much like pantera
I needed this. Thank you so much.
Good stuff mate
St anger is a fuking masterpiece. In all shapes or forms
Nah it has its flaws which also makes it so unique in their discog.
@@Clift0n it's good tho
It’s flawed beauty
...and anger for all
This is the best I've heard of sound.
The mix and voice all sound fantastic, I do think the structure of the riffs doesn't lend too well to the song being more interesting, but I definitely think one could tweak the riffs to make them more Metallica esque for the And Justice time.
Is that a bass what I'm hearing in the verses? That's not the "...And Justice For All" album then. Just kidding. Good work. 👍🏻
much better!
We need whole album with this sound! Fantastic work, thank you!
So awesome!!!
Really cool!!
this is actually listenable
Thank you for such cover of the song
Oh damn, you just fixed St. Anger!
it isn't, has never needed, any fixing. If you don't like it, the album is not for you.
I love the guitar at 0:56
0:33 i hear Slipknot here
this is magic
WOW this sounds better than the original ;) great job man ,very well done👏👍🥰😉😊
Soo fucking insane 👍 love it truly keep up the good work
So THATs what real drums sound like on this and not a beer keg sound!
perfect!
Love this song
Wow 🤘🔥
ACTUALLY SOUNDS PRETTY COOL
sweet sound (with bass) in And Justice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woah! Thank You . This SONG Need Some Guitar Solos😉
Damn this actually sounds good
You gotta do whole album this way, it sounds killer
with this tone, this song is heavy as hell!
This song just get better, fuckn hell! My god i love this masterpice just more.
Let's just all be honest with each other for a second. Was St. Anger really that bad of an album? I mean, I didn't like the snare drum in it, but they made the no solo thing work somehow, in my opinion. I liked the album. I won't listen to it every day, but it's ok.
Hell yeah!!!
Hard feeling
hell yeah
This is how it should have been, WOW!
Better Than the original
Better like this
I wonder what they would think if they actually hear this
2:06 amazing work! with James singing instead of screaming off his mid 30s teenage riot, song gets a fresh start
upd: 06:42 was fantastic, you've made my morning!
It's very good but i expected a guitar solo. That's what miss here.
waos
Wow, this is good. I always liked the songs on St Anger, just not the production. This shows how heavy it is. Such a clean recording.
Has potential but sounds more like someone impersonating James but very close. Good job
This song sounds like if it was on AJFA, but it have been great if there had been a guitar solo.
👍👍
🤘
Круто! Надо было ещё где-нибудь в серединке соло добавить
👍👏🌟⭐🤘🤟
Isn't AJFA, it have bass 😂😂
Jokes apart, good job man, the snare is good as hell, almost identical to ajfa
Don't forget to turn the bass all the way down
How is this possible?
The tuning should have been in E for this also
I don't know how to describe what my ears are hearing and my brain is assimilating, this song is violently good. God bless artificial intelligence.
no pushing out pushing out backing vocals?
these could easily be great nu metal, post grunge songs. The key element was missing, a syncopated drums and moving off 4/4s timing signatures. If by any chance real nu metal bands did covers of these I´m sure the arrangements will gravitate towards it.
Sound better now
basically Strapping Young Lad
And Justice For Jason mix
NEEVERRR
a lot better then that "oil drum" sound
Cold 😅😂
If this song was released in 1988, we’d been heard a Kirk solo by now and this song would’ve been a lil longer w/o audible bass
This sounds fuck all like ajfa
I got so much hate for liking this song by them but this sounds triple awesome❤ Do Ride The Lightning like this
Dude, can you do unforgiven II In the 1984 or 1991 style?? Plzzz
Only problem is where’s the bass. Add the bass please. Love it brutal
I dont see why people hate St Anger, its actually one of my favorite Metallica albums from them
now any of the Justice songs on St. Anger
Aaahhhh yeah ! Not "Tefal drum" !
Sounds great … I prefer it to the original
100 times better, sounds kinda like Disturbed in some parts
1st time listening from start to finish, usually can't make it through 2 minutes of this album thanx to Lars & his trashcan lids! Wish the rest of the album sounded like this!
Wow it's interesting. Just as an experiment. I'd like to listen the rest of the album in Justice style, but please don't volume up the bass line if you want to keep it authentic
Lars is that you?
But you got the Bass here. To sound like Justice you need remove
Lol 😅
St Anger with actual anger
implying the original doesn't have anger? I hope you're joking
The drums sound like AJFA but Lars was more technical. everything else sounds great!
7 minutes and still somehow shorter than the original. I feel like the album St. Anger would have been so much better if it was like 25-30 minutes shorter
Bass tabs:
At least it's in tune. That's more than Metallica did. This sounds better. I absolutely hate St anger and everything on it.
