A handyman for 35+ years, I recently purchased a small pressure washer (Simpson 3100 psi) to add simple outdoor cleaning to my offerings. I won't be doing whole houses anytime soon, mostly decks and walkways, but most of what you showed us still applies. I had a question early in the video but I forgot what it was. Thank you for all the excellent tips! 💦👍

Hey Ken was just curious on the usage of SH is it safe to leave on vinyl siding or any sort of metal siding (just don’t want to cause any damage to customers property) and if you could clarify what surfaces SH is safe to use on. Thanks 👍
It's safe at 1-2% dilution to use on vinyl, painted wood, painted aluminum, and painted steel siding. Also It's best to rinse it off after your siding is clean. Rinse all glass at least three times to help with spots and streaks. If you are not sure, do a test spot in a hidden area like behind the a/c condenser unit.

Appreciate the walk through. If I recall your price was $295 - what was your profit? How much chem did you use (gallons + total price) moving from NC to FL and thinking about getting in the business. Thanks again
Fantastic video! I saw someone say you’re from the show me state. I’m in southwest Missouri and am building a rig now. Im in the planning stages. I’ll be watching all your videos now! Question… should I start with a gas soft wash unit or 12v? I currently run a window cleaning business and run 12v Waterfed rigs. We aren’t running anything close to what you are gpm
Do you do most houses with your soft wash rig or do you downstream? Seems like it would be better to just have a powerful soft wash system if you’re mostly doing houses. I’m looking at either getting a gas soft wash set up or a booster pump Soft wash set up made by Ace. What do you think of those booster pump set ups?
So I'm also in MO and just recently decided i want to start doing this. Driveways and houses and the like. I was curious how you figure how much you charge. Is there a certain recipe you have or have you just done it long enough to know roughly how much a job is worth? Your videos are a great help.
As always thanks for the videos. I heard one guy tell me he tapes / covers all door knobs / light fixtures and outlets. Is that necessary? Also wanted to ask about plants. Sorry for all the questions. I appreciate anything you can share. Thanks again
I appreciate you getting back to me. I’ve been a residential carpenter for 20 years and I’m over it. Looking to switch gears. Thinking about something like this. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. Stay well

It pulls it just fine. I've even had an additional loaded 330 gallon tote in the bed and it pulled just fine too. However the rear squatted quite a bit.
I noticed dirt on the bottom part of the brick to the right of the front door - and it never got cleaned off. Why didn’t you focus on the dirty brick? Is there a chemical for removing that?
Wow, $295.00 for that house wash ???? I would have been about $200.0 or so. but $295.00 for an hour of work is not bad at all, the only problem is, is that you never know when or where our next job is coming,,,, Have a great day,,,,

Great Video. Do you not pre or post wet the grass because you are only using 1.5% SH?
It depends on how nice the grass is or if there is plantings or flowers?
Awesome video! How do you deal with that oxidation you mentioned at 4:05? On the video it looks light, did it wash away?
Use low pressure so as not to disturb it. If it does get disturbed then you may need extra steps the worst being scrubbing. BC Cleansol works great.

Start at 20 cents a square foot and adjust from there after a few jobs.

When you say you missed that glass what do you mean?
I spray the windows just like the siding. Most vinyl windows have mold and algae. So you have to spray them to clean them up.
@northjerseykevin3915 Misting is after soap and rinse. Then, if I think I got overspray on them, I mist the glass down again before I move on.
