    As a packers fan, this is the mental gymnastics our entire fanbase did for the entirety of Favre's career. Honestly, I'm here for it. Always will be some of the most fun players to watch while also times when you will want to tear your hair out. It's just how it is with those guys. haha

    don’t know if this is mentioned bc i just clicked on the video but JA and CJ Stroud were around the exact same in turnover worthy plays. Only difference is nearly every single turnover worthy play ended up being a turnover from JA, whereas most of CJs ended up not converting to turnovers.

    This coming year, Josh has two or three wide receivers faster than both Diggs and Davis.
    He’s got three or four wide receivers, taller and stronger than Diggs and Davis.
    Finally, almost every receiver and tight end on the team has better hands than Davis ever did.
    It is gonna be a good year.

      You stay salty about the interceptions.Allen will surpass Ferguson this season in TD's and catch his total passing yards possibly too with only 7 years in his career.As well as have a less interception % than Ferguson and Kelly with 12 and 11 years at this point in his career.I'll take his gun slinging if he throws a few more Ints and motor of running down defenders any day over anyone else. 😂And you know he may even break Cam Newton's rushing record too down the road soon🤔

    Bruce Smith was a great pass rusher. He would jump off sides trying to guess the snap count (he was usually right). You accepted the occasional penalty because what you got in return was worth it.

    The last int vs the dolphins was a 4th down. It was either take a shot in the end zone or go out of bounds at 30. It actually gave the dolphins worse field position with seconds left in the half. So really only 8 was his fault

  • @VaderPopsVicodin10
    @VaderPopsVicodin10 Před 29 dny +6

    Exactly like you said, he's a gunslinger QB. Nature of that style. His INT's are mostly arm punts and it's usually rare that his picks are devastating to the outcome of any drive, really. Plus, his touchdown count far outweighs his turnover ratio. Idk.. just my opinion.

  • @ChewsCarefully
    @ChewsCarefully Před 26 dny

    I like this generally. If there's anything lacking, it's that the way the play-calling has been for at least since '22 has forced Allen to play _WAY_ too much hero-ball. While We The Fans love to think "any good QB can adapt to any system" everyone has limits. & being forced to do things is different from adapting.
    For instance part of the problem with Russell Wilson was he can no longer scramble with ease to where he can see the field. As a result he has led the league in passes Behind The Line Of Scrimmage for five years straight (the real reason the Seahwaks wouldn't extend him. The Broncos didn't realize this).
    He did this 23.7% of the time in '23 (even after he took the weight off). Payton realized this & adapted insofar as he included an RB as check-down on *every single snap.* Now let's say Payton _hadn't_ done this. Would him refusing to do so "cause" Russ to magically adapt through pressure? Nope. He still wouldn't be able to get to any vantage point from which he could throw.
    Similarly, notice Allen has no check-downs on these plays. None. Travis Kelce isn't magic. Slipping between zones of coverage isn't a super-power.
    But players are employees. & if they don't run at least some approximation of what routes they're commanded to, depending on the coach they'll feel like they can lose their job. Since _only_ Andy Reid allows _only_ Travis Kelce to go rogue, we can assume that no check-downs is the result of play-calling.
    If this is consistent, then it's a consistent factor. I'm not saying it dismisses any of his INTs. But it _does add_ to them. This is the 1st vid of yours I've seen, but I do have a link that shows exactly how Kellen Moore's play-calling neutered Justin Herbert & also led to Dak leading the league in INTs in '22 despite missing 5 games to illustrate how play-calling is a factor if you didn't already know this but are curious to see how. Cheers.

    While I agree with the overall conclusion that JAs INTs were not as big of a problem as many make them seem, especially considering the TDs, but you also have to include the interception worthy plays to be fair. JA plays a style that will have more INTs, but his supporting cast made it worse. Too many high-low concepts with WRs to close to put the CB in conflict (great play from the 1st Jets game), poor separation and lack of compete by WRs, poor play calling sequences (Dorsey) leading to low percentage shots or arm punts, just to name a few.

  • @TheOne-pq3gs
    @TheOne-pq3gs Před 28 dny +1

    All I know is Allen doesn't have much help this year in the reciever room and it's going to be the year of Picks. Alot of Picks, probably a record amount. He lost a Top 5 Reciever in the NFL and the Bills don't have a receiver now in the Top 40. Bills missed last year on Sam LaPorta, runs too fast. Their only real threat that can separate is Shakir. Coleman couldn't separate in college which translates to an NFL Bust. Coleman does have the traits to be an elite TE. Coleman has similar traits to NKEAL Harry, who the Vikings are transitioning to play TE. Think Darren Waller. The Bills seem to be against getting guys with any speed. They have too many guys with lead feet. Kincaid and Coleman only excel catching balls over the middle of the field because of the lead in their feet. LaPorta had too much speed to play on the Bills. Just like Worthy, Jefferson, or Leggette. They're all too fast. Time to fire Beane and McDermott. New stadium new coaching staff. McDermott and Beane threw the OC under the bus last year. That only works once. The next time, they will be gone. And one more thing to point out, why are their so many Panthers in the Bills organization now? The Panthers stink 😳. Not a good organization to farm from. This is asinine.

    • @ChewsCarefully
      @ChewsCarefully Před 27 dny

      "Holding onto the ball too long" is almost _ALWAYS_ the end result of play-calling. How many examples do you want? The leader in getting blamed for this is Justin Fields. So if we back up the camera would we see open receivers just lolly-gagging around while he stands in a clean pocket inexplicably doing nothing or are we gonna find something else?
      12 minutes into czcams.com/video/0nd2Ac1haEQ/video.html we see Darnell Mooney place himself into another receiver's passing lane & stop moving. That's play-calling. In just the 1st 23 minutes or half of one game here czcams.com/video/FiiK21VzI_o/video.html we see his o-line allow at least 9 pass-rushers through unblocked on at least 7 different plays which the narrator says he's not even including all of, forcing Fields to not be able to go into throwing mode before first watching out so he doesn't get injured, ever. Here, we have two choices.
      It's either purely play-calling, or the HC who has made it as clear as possible to anyone listening that ousting fields was The Plan from the get-go since he & Poles took over paid players on the o-line a little extra to sabotage him. Certainly the play at 22:45 lends itself to this last theory. I mean this was Every Single Game since at least week 1 of '22. A player is _bound_ to pick up some bad habits when he can see his own teammates set him up to fail right in front of his eyes.
      The only QB who started in '23 that actually hung onto the ball too long when I know they didn't have to was Zach Wilson. Even Ridder didn't do this consistently, nor did Howell really. Everyone else had long-developing routes called with o-lines that couldn't protect them long enough.

    • @Shawnkula11b

      @@ChewsCarefully no play call should require a lineman to hold for 4-5 seconds

    • @ChewsCarefully
      @ChewsCarefully Před 27 dny

      @@Shawnkula11b "Shouldn't" is a word that refers to something that *is happening.* Some play-callers don't realize they're calling for plays that demand it. Some do it because that's they're intention. Others do it when they themselves panic in the clutch.
      I may be the Only Person who actually read the article about McDermott no one is being sued for libel over. It says he takes over the play-calling when he's stressed. Well? When is Allen most being forced to play hero-ball, scrambling around never once looking for check-downs because there aren't any there?
      That's the shorter answer.
