Awesome video, one of, if not the best build ive seen so far! I recently bought a bone stock ap1, its in the shop right now for complete respray and rust removal, after that i need new tyres and rims, then coilovers etc
My 05 AP2 is 100% stock. I say the top 3 mods for me are: 1) cigarette lighter FM transmitter for music stream via bluetooth from smartphone with OEM radio. 2) strobe 3rd brake light to reduce the chances of getting rear ended and tailgated from big SUVs. 3) modifry dashboard bracket to mount smartphone next to climate control.
I agree with most of this mods, except now the tuning options, Link g4x or haltech elite 1500 are way better options then aem.. hondata is fine for 06+ S2ks.
I want to supercharge and am worried if buying an ecu would be a waste because I’m not sure if I can still use the same ecu while NA with the supercharger because it’s the same type of ecu
@@anthonyma4644 yeah you have have two different tunes you would just have to save them and upload which one you would run example one tune for boost then upload another tune for NA
I will agree that the car is slow … I honestly bought mine because of all the videos where stock s2000s beat 350zs and keep up with WRXs … it’s all BS these cars feel like any Civic Si in strait line drag race … you have to redline the heck out of these cars to get any power when stock … I don’t even drive mine in the city that much anymore because there isn’t enough space to wind it up 😤 I have the AP1 too with 0 ft lbs of torque 😂… I love my car , but it really only shines when I take it on a highway cruise or to the track 😑

the F20C made 155 lb/ft at 7500 rpm vs the F22C which made 162 lb/ft at 6500 rpm. 7 more lb/ft still up quite high (in VTEC) isn't much of a difference - what makes the AP2's feel slightly less sluggish is more the gearing of their transmissions. You do of course get a small bump in torque everywhere, but the gearing makes a greater impact to perceived acceleration.
@@uncrownedlegend6761 I agree, he doesn’t know how to drive it. They’re still plenty fast enough even by todays standard in stock form round twisty roads. They’re never meant for drag racing
@anthonyjanelle12 Hey man all due respect wasnt tryna bash it takes seat time to gain experience.. At least be realistic with your examples. 8th gen civic si were like the slowest k series just above the ep3 . Have some more faith in your s2000 or at least some seat time. A rsx type s would of been a better example..any kpro or a tune would obviously be another story. Stock for stock I'll line up with a 350z any day from a dig and go off a roll with a wrx. That's the advantage is the high redline and the power it puts down in that region over other cars. Why wouldn't you want to redline?

Damn that's a 100k under that hood. Very nice bro!
100% agree with all of them. Only thing I'm missing is the coilovers since I did go the cheap route first with springs.
I did the same thing as first !
That rear wide body fender tho.. blended perfection
Love the car. It’s pretty much got the same thing as mine. I see you’re in Cali what part?
Thanks dude! Nice! I’m in cencal what about you?
How do you like the renegade motor sports catchcan? I heard people tell me bad things about them but it looks really high quality.
I like it dude it does it’s job and i think it makes the engine bay nicer

Can I use the Same ecu for the two tunes or would I have to spend another grand?

Aem ecu … do you have any problems when you pass your emissions with that ecu ?? I looking to get one ..
In my state my s2000 is considered historic and doesn’t have ti do emissions so maybe that’s how it is for him too
Depends on what state your in I would definitely keep your stock ecu
New York probably wait another year have to be 25 years old …
new roof, new leather seats, replace any parts that are not new looking
What did you have to swap to do your make it ap2
@manyooorodriguez3867 - 04-05 motor is a straight drop in no modifications needed 06+ you have to change a internal cam gear ⚙️
Thank you so much

Tein is a down grade from OEM
Tein has been pretty good so far!
OEM is super mega bad...
I'd only use the base tein coils as a factory replacement, but not as a performance mod.
