      Judging by the name of the place, Old Watermill Spring, it's likely spring fed and so would likely not freeze over most of the time. Water coming out of the ground isn't going to be cold enough, and the constant movement makes it hard to set up.

    • @j_bailey11
      @j_bailey11 Před 6 lety +1

      Fisher Man yeah it can but not -22 haha that would have to be some super intense movement that would cause freezing anyway.. and it would possibly increase the temperature too.. gee I don't think it's posibble to keep water in the temperature of -22 not frozen.. definitely not.

    • @j_bailey11
      @j_bailey11 Před 6 lety

      Plus water at that temperature would probably start freezing around the body and would be pretty much deadly.. for if 1° is extreme.. then if water would be -22° the air temp would probably have to be like -50° or -60 or even more...
      Humans can't cope with such low temperatures (being naked)

      -22° is probably the air temperature. And since the pound seems to be not frozen over naturally it obviously does have a higher water temperature. Maby there is a stream or something so it doesn't freeze.

      Water transfers heat and cold much more than air does. Thats why humid cold air feels colder than cold dry air. So swimming in water that is the temperature of the air is actually a lot colder and sucks the heat from your body much faster.

You clicked a video called "Winter Swimming" on a channel called "Northmen", an lo and behold, video is about a Northern guy swimming in a foggy-cold water. What is the problem exactly? Where does the surprise /clickbait part come in?

    • @KnapperJackCrafty
