  • In the last video of the BMW R100S MY 1976 assembling series I kicked the bike in the last moment - But will it run? To first start a build bike is always one of the most exciting moments. This engine was rebuilt by a BMW dealer 20 years ago then stored somewhere. It was never started or touched again eversince. The big question is: Does this engine run? It looks perfect from outside but did the mechanic do a good job? Did it survive without any oil inside? Will it leak? Big questions here. The carburetors haven´t been touched at all and especially are not tuned in to the rebuilt engine.
I ordered a new starter motor as well and it is mounted in this episode as well. Someone in the comments told me that the rocker covers were swapped left and right side. This is something I really like and a big reason why I make the videos. I am not a BMW professional and a lot of my work ALWAYS is try and error with a workshop manual. Kind people commenting my mistakes helps me and others so Thank You for this, keep going.

This will turn out really really good. The paint job will take some time tough. And thank you

Did you pickup this hobby in your free time? Or studied for it in school?

I work on motorbikes for fun since 15 years. Most of my knowledge is try and error.
