- English translation of my acrylic primer declaration:
Simpra universal preservative basecoat is a water-based polymer emulsion. SIMPRA universal impregnating basecoat penetrates deep into the surface,
binding loose particles. Improves reinforcement of the surface, evenness of surface absorption and increases adhesive properties of interior/exterior wall paint and concrete paint.
Clean tools with water after use!
SIMPRA universal impregnating basecoat is not flammable!

When pouring your primer, turn the big bottle on its side, it pours much easier.
When you finish a jar of paint (like the magenta) I reuse the container with the primer & paint mixed together for easier use later. I also put a couple of marbles in the container so you can shake it & know the paint is really well combined.
Have you ever purchased base tints from the paint store? They’re heavily saturated. I only buy the black & the white tints. I pay $7.80/300ml in Australia. Perfect for acrylic (Floetrol 80%-20% tint).
With resin in approx 250ml I’d use a teaspoon full. Perfect as a base coat & gives fantastic cells/lacing.

Thanks for sharing your recipe in mixing your paints it’s big help. Sometimes its really difficult to get a nice result of pour when the consistency of the paints are not great.

What about your base paint that you use for your background - sometimes the black /sometimes the white. How do you mix it? Do you use pouring medium and wall paint? Or do you use the acrylic paint? Do you ever mix glue with acrylic black or wall paint for your background color or do you simply mix in the binder? Does it stay shiny when it dries? In one of your other videos you showed mixing 70% Binder with 30% Primer to make your mixing medium. Then add color to that mixing medium with a bit of water to put in a squeeze bottle. Is this a different type of mixture to be used for other projects? I'm confused!

Thank you. No, it's not like floetrol. It's acrylic emulsion, which we used when we paint our walls to bind two layers of paints together 😉

In USA we have Flood FLOETROL which is much thicker than your Simpra. Thank you for sharing your techniques!

Your primer looks quite thin. Our primers in Canada are quite thick. Would it be ok to just add water to thin it out?
You should read instructions how much water you can add. My primer has 1:4 ratio (1 part primer and 4 parts of water). 😉
