Hi and thanks! In the last couple years, everything is either silk or plastic. I occasionally mix in live grasses or moss or hanging plants and of course the bird seed grows on it’s own. Thinking hard about revisiting a native grass seed mixture from SW US. Would love get that going.
Most of these cages are the largest size that prevue-hendryx makes and then I modify them. At the very least, I join two side by side to make double wide.
Good afternoon! Congratulations on your retirement! This is definitely a hobby for me. I am not really a breeder, just someone who like to take care of birds and learn from them. The birds breed only because I try to learn how to make them fee confident and comfortable to raise chicks. Have fun with your new hobby!

All of the cages are purchased and then I modify them. Most are made by Prevue-Hendryx. I get the largest cage they make. The easiest modification is to put two side by side to make double wide
