DEATH BED REQUEST: A COMIC SHOP OWNER SAYS THE INDUSTRY IS DOOMED UNLESS DC AND MARVEL CHANGE

Phil Boyle, owner of Coliseum Comics in Orlando, Fl., says that the comic industry is on its deathbed and unless Marvel and DC make immediate changes in how they do business, the market will be dead within two years!

Wow!! Couldn't have said it better. Comics as a whole has lost track due to poor writing and art. Also, they need to stop remaking or killing off major characters

I prefer reading 2000AD then DC or Marvel which I havent read since the 80's

In the past, I had multiple Marvel and DC titles on my pull list. Currently, there is not a single book from the "Big Two" on it.

i love my comic books for ever BUT what's really killing the comic book industry is what was made available to the world in 1992, the World Wide Web' and the video games. It's been a slowly but steady death. People don't read regular books anymore, they listen to them on digital audio format.

Truly words of wisdom pearls of knowledge but alas i fear it may be already to late for this once illustrious American art form ashame i grew up collecting and still treasure the stuff from the 70s 80s and 90s ....🌀

nope, they are not the industry, they are only the biggest players in the industry, even if those two go down the industry will be just fine, new players will simply fill the void as Eric is

My LCS is saying if prices on our $ & the cost of shipping/freight increase they'll have to charge more for the product(books like ultimate invasion are AU$10-12, here.) OR Shut up shop.😭😭😭
