I’m from America and have never been to Europe, but I want to visit Greece one day! Yes, I have a terrible lisp lol. It’s not as harsh when I speak Japanese. I went to intensive speech therapy as a kid and it didn’t help.😭

Yes I totally agree with you in regards to the quality of Japanese av compared to American, American porn in my opinion is unwatchable, no story, the girls generally look so trashy, covered in tats,piercings and generally unattractive. Love the story lines in Jav av and do hope they get rid of the mosaic soon before I die. Look forward to watching some of your films, great interview BTW.

Americans have a variety of accents. Ever heard someone from the upper midwest speak? Sounds to me like her parents could have moved from somewhere that had a strong accent.

She definitely lost American accent after moving to Japan.
Tbh it’s more likely she has that accent from her parents, she’s an American but they were Germans (or it could be from the fact that she’s at least trilingual so speaking all those languages produced one, that’s not uncommon even among bilingual people like myself)

But not everyone does this most can still speak normally on the language they speak on the spot..kinda sucks
It’s kind of weird you say that. I used to work in a company with a lot of co workers who were from India and Pakistan. After a while I started to develop not so much an accent, but the speech patterns and cadence that they used 😂
she has an american accent lol, she just has a lisp (sounds like a Frontal Lisp). i know how it sounds cuz i have one too. if you watch her mouth when she speaks, you can see the speech impediment.
It's funny how her mannerism is clearly Japanese, even though she's from LA.

@@peachesandcream8753 I didn't mean it as a criticism. I just thought it was amazing how well she absorbed her new culture. My own mother still has sn accent even though she lived and worked in my country for several decades. I know the struggles of immigrants personally, so to see June adept so well is inspiring to me. I couldn't tell if she has an accent since I'm not fluent in japanese, but I did notice her mannerisms. And it looks perfect.

She's German American. Her parents are German, she was raised in California. So what you are hearing is her German accent, that she probably picked up from her parents.
Interesting, I'm gonna need to do more research.

I guess she has been in Japan a long time so adapted to the accent, happens usually no matter where you are from and move to to a degree but definitely in Japan because of the way Japanese is spoken and fromal etiquette

@@manicdemise Considering she's been in the JAV industry for 3 years and complained about long work hours before being an AV, she's probably been in Japan for upwards of 5 years. Being in a country for that long can and will force you to change your mannerisms to adapt to the environment and society at large.

Wow, I'm always amazed by Nobita's connection and how he's always able to get interview with people in the industry directly... Great work as always!
He's probably built up a reputation for himself at this point.
This is really interesting. I've noticed that the Japanese side does a LOT of foreplay while most western does not do much. But I am curious about what do they not like about Western fetishes or parts.
I suspect one of the things is the moans. A lot of Westerners can't get into JAV because of the moans and I imagine a lot of Japanese people can't get into Western porn because of the moans. Not to mention, a lot of the women in Western porn are what you'd expect to find in a more niche Japanese genre (e.g. lots of tats, piercings, women that look more trashy with tons of makeup, super muscular guy, etc.) rather than something more mainstream (e.g. more slender, more feminine, more natural makeup, etc.) There's also lots of little differences like different lighting -- Western lighting tends to be really harsh while JAV lighting is much softer, tropes, types of makeup and outfits, and other things like that.
Several of my Japanese friends have said penis sizes are unrealistic in Western films. And that no Japanese woman would be able to handle them.
They brought the conversation up when we were looking at condom boxes at donki jote
What western fetishes? Western porn is plain boring crap: Show naked woman, fuck her, fake moan, cumshot on face. Meh. Naked women are so boring. At least in JAV you have nice lingerie or swimsuits and stuff. Oh yeah and don't get me started on those trash tattoos. A women should never have a tattoo. God I miss the 90s and earlier when only the absolute lowest of the lowest trash had tattoos. Now you see dead-drop beautiful women desecrate their bodies with tattoos.

Now you've interviewed porn stars with good experiences, would be good to have the other side of it as well. I reckon it's easier finding people who are willing to get interviewed that are open about working within the industry as opposed to people who regret getting into it. There's a big number of people who see the problems with the industry and those voices should be represented too.
@@fatuusdottore I mean yes of course there's gonna be a few (in comparison to the majority) that enjoy what they do. This women may very well enjoy what she does, but she doesn't represent the majority of the industry or how it reflects upon our society. The porn industry and over all sex industry has done tremendous damage to our society.
I agree, someone like Miu Nakamura would be interesting to interview, she started as Jr. Idol, then Gravure Idol, and now JAV Idol, so she's done it all would be interesting. She struggled with mental health, and that was probably because of her occupation.

Yes! I totally agree. Recently I have been interviewing people in the JAV industry and I would say Mishima Natsuko talks the most about the negative aspects for her. I/Nobita need to find people who have left the industry and are more open to talking about it. Also, if you joined within 2-3 years you are only going to have good experiences for the most part, but those who have been in 10 years or so will have those “bad” stories. I interviewed Yuto Kuroda (JAV male actor) and he shared a few with me. Women are typically unwilling to share because they are afraid of being told, “well you shouldn’t have gone into porn” rather than validated for the violence they experienced.

A german accent is closer to a british one, her way of spelling is simply obfuscated by her lisp.

I’ve heard it suggested and flat out said several times that it’s culturally normal in Japan for dudes to casually call slightly chubby or even relatively normal bmi girls (like the one in this video) fat in public. It confuses me since Japan seems to be a country where everyone minds their own business for the most part, so for that kind candid cruelty to be part of everyday language seems... interesting.
Maybe it's not considered cruel like it would be in the US. Like they think they're just stating a fact, not insulting the person.
I'm European and I have an American friend. When I didn't know her culture, I called her chubby and grabbed her belly fat. I did because of love. It is totally normal where I live. But she almost burst out crying and told me in the US everyone is extremely sensitive about their weight. I think it is because a lot of people in the US is overweight.

Yes agree with point that too much sugar is bad for you so porn might be the same, but porn is definitely not the only reason affecting relationships in Japan, it’s the society itself:
This is oversimplified but:
People are “forced” to do overtime (emphasis on the “ “) -> stressed -> tired -> busy -> less time to have a social life and go on dates -> more stress -> suicide /less relationships/less couples/less babies being born
The way she explained why she does porn earned my respect. Most AV actresses come up with the lamest reasons when the truth is, they enjoy emotionless depraved sex and getting paid lol

It's interesting to see at first her speaking had heavy Japanese accent, but over time it reduces. Must have been a while since she spoke English a lot.

You have to, if you want to succeed there in Japan, in any industry. My little brother majored in Japanese in San Diego State and went right over to Japan to teach Japanese kids, after graduating from college; has been there over 10 years and he's more Japanese (including those big, ugly Japanese tattoos) than American, even though he was born & raised in southern California. And because he's also Asian (though not Japanese), if you didn't know him ahead of time, you won't be able to tell him apart from the Japanese locals, even if you're a Japanese.

She avoided the point of ra*e porn being harmful. When people talk about it being harmful, they're not talking about the actors, they're talking about society (the viewers). I'd like to hear her comment more directly on the effect of these otherwise Illegal depictions, and just how much porn she thinks is "too much."
I doubt you'll ever get a straight answer about that. It's a great point. What we're dealing with here are unbelievably sick people who actually relish in the societal and community harm that it causes.
Yet another name I've written down for further research. There's now quite a few JAV actresses whose work I've checked out because they've decided to appear on this channel.
