I have never thought you could really compare them. I see the US as the western superpower and China as the Eastern superpower however I don’t really like the term superpower at all and I would rather that all countries could bring something important but unique to the world and we could all come together to create a happy world for everyone, without so much poverty and respect our cultural difference by accepting that we have different perspectives on things.

"Who is the real Superpower in 2022" is like asking "Who was the real Superpower in 1992". OK, it hasn't come to that...yet...but the signs are remarkably close. Maybe you could ask "Who was the real Superpower in 1982".
The US and USSR went back and forth, tit-for-tat, for decades. Eventually, everything came crashing down for the USSR.
If you were around back then, you knew the propaganda that came out of the USSR. They looked formidable. They had a big population, controlled a huge land mass, and had vast resources. Their military was massive and advanced. Their tech, on paper, looked to be on par with the US. Yet in reality, Russian tech has performed poorly against US tech in numerous conflicts around the world.
China has been doing the exact same thing as the USSR did back in the day. They look formidable, but are they really? We don't know for sure, because of strict censorship, what is really going on in China.
As a result, the US prepares as if everything is true and keep advancing. Eventually, it becomes harder and harder to call the upped ante...which is what the USSR finally ran into.

I studied in the US for 7 years. While attending graduate course, I was able to earn $2,000 a month only with the part-time job(20 hours per week) provided by the school. I could understand if I work hard I can earn more than $5,000 a month there. I don't care which country is the superpower. Still, I know which country people want to live in. Despite the many problems in America, it is a land of opportunity to earn stable money if you work hard. What about China? China has more than 600 million people who live in absolute poverty making less than $200 a month. Not only the minimum wage is low, but the competition for jobs is fierce, so many young people in China give up working.
Rather than trying to become a superpower, they should focus on improving the their quality of life.

In my opinion, China and America both have problems. Now as an American, my parents always tell me how bad China is and I'm so confused because are really nice and friendly and smart! All countries have problems and that's okay. A country is never going to be perfect. It always bothers me how my parents tell me how bad Russia is or how bad China is. Sometimes it's not the people who are bad, it's the leader of the country. Y'all pls don't judge countries by what you see on news. Every country even America has people.

@@sarvin6026 You obviously do not know your history. After the 1st Sino-Japanese War in 1895 China was forced to hand Taiwan over to Japan. It was not until the end of WW2 when Japan lost in 1945 that the allies decided to return Taiwan back to China. The allies supported the ROC because they disapproved of communism, so after WW2 ended the US handed Taiwan over to the ROC. That is also why the ROC was part of the UN until 1971 as well.
By 1949 the ROC had to flee mainland China and many retreated to Taiwan. Since then mainland China has NEVER INVADED Taiwan. I'm not sure where you got that idea from. The last time Mainland China had actual contact with Taiwan was (as I stated above) in 1895 before Japan took it. Please make sure your history is correct first before making ridiculous statements.
