    I just moved to Guanajuato 3 days ago!!! I will always be staying in an AirBnB. Water, Garbage, Elec, WiFi, ins. Is all part of my $850 per month to live downtown Guanajuato!!! I don’t need to buy furniture, dishes etc. Additionally as I evolve into this new life style, I can leave to Ireland 4 months out of the year when Guanajuato get’s to hot for me to enjoy. Regarding Learning Spanish. I have 1 hour a day private lessons for $100 per week. I love it. (Note, I spent 6 weeks here earlier this year “Boots on the Ground” experience to see if indeed this was the city I wanted… I LOVE THIS PLACE) Monday I start working for a Non Profit as a volunteer so I “Have a purpose in life” AND to organically further my Spanish. I am hoping to expedite my integration into Mexico. Such a wonderful, beautiful place…

    Hi Alex!! Just wanted to say thanks for turning us on to Host Relocation services in one of your videos. They helped us in so many ways. We got our Temporary Residence on our third day here and they took care of everything, and I mean, everything. They also helped us with obtaining our RFC and even called a pharmacy and had prescriptions delivered to our door after we fell I’ll in the first week. They also added us to a what’s App Expats group here in Querétaro and we are already creating friends.
    We are living in centro in Querétaro and appreciate all of the info you provided. Living the dream!!! Jared & Risë

    I'm moving to Ajijic on April 14th and boy do I have a lot to do! I had foot surgery 4 days ago so I've had lots of time to think about everything, just not able to do much yet, but I have one way airfare purchased and I know where I'm going to live so that's a relief. I went on a scouting trip to check out a place I was interested in and it blew me away and exceeded all of my expectations. I think I may donate my furniture and just start over in Mexico. I plan on checking one suitcase and taking my carry on bag and my personal item and I will manage nicely. My new place is furnished so that's a relief. So thank you Alex for all of your great suggestions and wish me luck! I'll check back after my move.

    Make sure that people 65 and older CANNOT get premium heath insurance . Also, if you buy a home make SURE you get a tax I'D. Living in La Paz Baja you need to remove your tinted windows if you bring your car into Mexico, otherwise they will do kt for you with a big price tag.

      New to your channel so apologies if it’s addressed elsewhere…. Do you carry your passport and tourist/resident cards daily and, if so, how to do so safely? What if you’re going to the pool or beach? Even without the latest talk about immigration checkpoints and photocopies not being good enough, would you even leave them in your rental and, again, how to do so safely? Obviously here in the US I’m used to carrying my drivers license and such, but when I go to the beach or pool often use a hotel safe or locker, but not sure how to tackle protecting something as potentially scary as a passport full time. Thanks for any feedback!

    I'm planning to move to Queretaro to work online, from Calgary Canada. In my research, is the closest thing I found to Calgary in terms of quality of live, security, modernity, clean city, low traffic and low density population. Am I right? I'm Peruvian BTW, so Spanish is not an issue for me.

    Hey Alex, how much money do you recommend saving for everything including plane trip coming to Mexico? I will be bringing my dog. I'm concerned about her being on the plane or in the cargo area. What are your thoughts on this matter? Loved this video. Thanks

    • @alex-wittman
      @alex-wittman  Před 2 lety +1

      It depends on your plan for once you get to Mexico & if you’ll start working once you’re settled in. There are other important factors like where you live, your health needs, etc. Mexico is a big country & there is a lot of variety, plus people’s lifestyles are so different so it’s very difficult to say.

      My husband and I are moving to QRO early November. We are bringing dog , found Airbnb allowing dog. She's also my service dog so flying not a problem. Airlines that I searched do not do cargo for dogs. Only small dogs at 20 lbs with bag are allowed onboard unless it is a service dog. Do the research so you are not surprised. Plan to checkout the membership to make connections and get more informed.

    I live in Tijuana, and work in the U.S. I’ve just moved here last September. I found a beautiful place to rent got Mexico car insurance for my vehicles. Now I want to get my temporary residency, I had no idea I couldn’t leave the country during the process. I cross most days like most people living on the border. U.S. citizens and Mexican nationals a like. Is the permission to cross during the wait something I can use everyday or is it one time? Your videos are amazing! I watched the 3 part on the temporary residency. I can do this. I know some Spanish, and working to learn more everyday. I have lots of friends and coworkers who are Mexican nationals, or have duel citizenship, and are bilingual who will help me. I have to be able to be a cross border citizen during the process. Help.
