    Hey Donslife Fam! Boost Auto just authorized a discount code ‘DONSM1’ and it's valid for 20% off a set of Lumastep boards for any vehicle through next Sunday, November 19th, 2023.

    Nice installation and video. I like the floorboard pattern you chose, but the oversized "Boost Auto Luma Step" label/badge has to go!

    Nice product demo video.
    When I first saw this new video I thought… Oh no Don is going to demo much nicer cab steps than the outrageously expensive Amp Research steps I already have on my 2023.
    The Boost steps are very nice but I’m keeping my Amp Research steps.
    The differences are the Boost steps are stationary while the Amp Research steps are retractable offering a lower step up into the cab. The Amp Research steps have two small lights per side… not the very cool lighting options of the Boost step.
    I ditched the lame lighting of the Amp Research steps when I installed mine using some much nicer LED strips. Its better lighting than what was included but not even a comparison to the Boost step sequential lighting.
    If someone made it I’d like to buy a sequential light kit for my Amp Research steps… that would be the bomb… retractable sequential lighted steps.
    I can confirm the way Don fished the wiring down the inside of the fender is the way to go. Its not so hard to do once you get started.
    One of Don’s signature habits is doing a very clean install. He strives for an OEM finish once the install is complete. That doesn’t happen by accident.
    Don has a knack for finding cool off the beaten path accessories giving us a good demo of how it works and installs.
    Soldier on Don 😂😂

      Agree with everything you said and I'm also happier with the look and function of my amps on the AT4. I also ditched the supplied amp lights for a much nicer (and whiter!) LED strips. My main issue is the boost running boards besides the stationary nature, is how bright the light is, literally washes out the puddle lights. I think the perfect product has the function and customization of the boost light strip at about 20% brightness along the edge of amp powered steps. I can dream can't I??

    Question for ya. I’ve noticed that on dark streets at night making left turn, it’s kinda dare on the side of the truck so there is a possibility of hitting stuff on the left and even the right. I know that the boards with the white side light which should help with that. I’m planning on ordering these but only with the yellow. I think the white is too bright for my taste. On a side note have you experimented with side lights so that that dead dark area would be minimized when turning?

    • @boostautoparts
      @boostautoparts Před 9 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately not - the start up sequence will match the color of the running light. That being said, if you do an amber running light and option with rock light - you can get the strip to illuminate white via the rock light switch, just not with the start up sequence when you unlock the truck.

    Don, any issues with the truck and its systems from disconnecting the battery to do an electrical installation and reconnecting it afterwards? Most of my cars are old enough to not have the most modern electrical and computer systems on them. However my wife has a 2021 year model Chrysler. One time I disconnected and reconnected the battery for some minor maintenance and the next time we cranked the dash lit up like a crashing 747. Every one of the driver aids systems, infotainment system, etc flashed a warning light. It took several rounds of cranking and driving before they finally self cleared.
