Eight years after Anne Elliot was persuaded not to marry a dashing man of humble origins, they meet again. Will she seize her second chance at true love? - Zábava
The shadiest moment is the Jane Austen fans coming for this
The passive aggressive shade is the backbone and I love it 😂💜
I really loved this adaptation. It took Austin off the dusty pedestal and freed her to have fun.
Not really. See unlike other heroins in her story anne is the one who doesn't speak her thoughts out loud she is kin and easily influenced by others hence the story persuaded. That's the core or essence of the whole novel but if you take that out it's killing the main Character and Makin it a whole different story . I don't know why Hollywood wants to make every FL into this quirky snarky shady women . This adaptation would have worked to Emma or even northanger abbey but this was kind of disrespectful to her
I could care less what the naysayers say about this. I love it.
I love it lol
0:32 1:18 2:14 - In the movie planet of the apes, some of the apes tried hide the fact, that humans once ruled the earth. We have to make sure the apes don't try a takeover.

this film is a disaster 😭😭 so embarrassing, so regretted to watched it as a Jane austen fan
It's a good movie but not a good adaptation.
Brilliant modern take ha ha Austin is a witty writer she took the piss in this film they get it fun

My partner loves Bridgeton has not watched this.
Critics shit on it but fans love it .. Critics are as relevant as a chocolate teapot ( though Americans love to be told what is good or not )
Bro, i understand you're not like the rest of us, we are just dumbasses listening to critics, but just try out the book yourself. Jane Austen has a RANGE of heroines. Not everyone's Elizabeth Bennett and even she wasn't cracking quirky, pick me jokes. It's fine to be like that once or twice but every single time it gets annoying.
Also, why isn't Dakota able to keep up her British accent for 1 whole sentence minimum? They should've just stuck with American then honestly. The accent really is the least of the problems if the execution is done perfectly.
Anne Elliot is a silent strength kind of woman and i don't find the need to make every female character trying to be like a man. No one's insulting you, but so shouldn't you. Just check out the original source before spouting nonsense.
I ain't even American but they don't deserve to be generalized and insulted because of a select few idiots.
I think this could have worked better if they chose a different Jane Austen heroine. I think they missed the point of Anne Elliot and the love story between her and Wentworth. This would have been a wonderful adaptation for Northanger Abbey's Catherine Morland.
My main gripe is that there was no pining, no longing, no stolen glances. Instead, they kept talking to each other and it's immediately known that Wentworth still loves Anne.
And I'm no critic. But Persuasion is my favourite Jane Austen novel, as it is the most serious & she wrote it while she was dying. So you can feel the "what ifs" in Austen might have had seep through the pages.
everything that i read & heard was fans shitting on it & not critics ~ where did you get your information ?
Why does Hollywood need to make all the women quirky or outspoken. Anne was quiet and was never outspoken she never did what she actually wanted hence was easily persuaded that's the essence of the whole if you take it out it's a complete different story
