CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Frank (Denzel Washington) teaches his family about business then takes a break to collect his money after shooting Tango (Idris Elba) on the street.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Director Ridley Scott spins this yarn concerning a Harlem drug kingpin (Denzel Washington) who smuggles heroin into the country by hiding it in the bodies of U.S. soldiers killed during battle in Vietnam. There was a time when no one noticed reserved driver Frank Lucas (Washington), but when the criminal kingpin he was charged with transporting through the city streets suddenly dies, Lucas seizes the opportunity to build his own criminal empire. In the following months, Lucas solidifies his status as Harlem's most innovative drug dealer by delivering a product that is purer than the competitors' and cheaper, as well. When innovative businessman Lukas attempts to go semi-legit by becoming one of the Manhattan borough's biggest civil supporters, however, street-savvy outcast cop Ritchie Roberts (Russell Crowe) begins to sense a sizable shift in the hierarchy of the drug underworld. But Roberts is one of the few honest detectives operating within a corrupt system, and as he sets out to investigate the case, crooked detective Trupo (Josh Brolin) does everything in his power to compromise the integrity of his idealistic counterpart. Upon clearing all of the usual Mafia-connected suspects, Roberts begins to believe that a previously unknown black power player has come out of the woodwork to dominate the local drug trade. While Roberts and Lucas may be operating on opposite sides of the law, the one thing that both men have in common is a strict code of ethics that separates them from their opportunistic colleagues. Now, as a confrontation between the two men becomes inevitable and the fate of each becomes inexorably tied to the other, it gradually becomes apparent that only one of them will emerge from the conflict victorious.

Frank knew he was going to kill him as soon as he saw him. No hesitation to pull the trigger.
At least he died with a smug smile on his face.
Apparently the answer was yes he was going to shoot him in front of everybody.
LOL right...RIP Bozo
That was gangsta of frank
He did say "Come on"

Yeah back in the day no one gave no fucks if you gotten shot in the streets.
"It wasn’t a drug gang initiation or anything, he just pointed out that this guy was very dangerous and people feared him, so when Lucas got away with killing him, he got a lot of fear and respect himself. The guy he killed was called Tango and he was a large bald-headed gangster who owed Lucas some money and wouldn’t pay it"
He got away with it because of fear and respect
Alfie Moon Although there is no statue of limitations on murder anywhere in this country. good luck find any witnesses from that day. Lol
He mistook his kindness as a weakness big mistake
Jon Alarcon Yep. Deadly mistake.
This scene.... It's one of the best scenes in the cinematic world!
Denzel Washington is the best...legend and warrior for God
Well that made brunch awkward.
cqtaylor lol, yes what do you talk about after that lol
Certainly put me off my cherry muffin.
hey lucas ? need a bodyguard ?
I was thinking the same thing...now everyone's going to have to drink their coffees without sugar since he poured it on the plate.
That's our biggest fault as black people. I know in the streets of black neighborhoods in the 60s you could kill and get away with it, but if I see my brother kill somebody I don't care if he's going to make me millions of dollars I would've went back to North Carolina that same day. Considering his brothers got arrested too.
Bodyguard: "I mean, I can't stop bullets."
Well, if he used his body to guard, he could.
😂
thaggartxsoo the bodyguard probably had a gun of his own tho
@@007Fusiion but how is the bodyguard suppose to know he is suppose to guard with his body? XD
yo this comment is sooo underrated xD
That’s got to be THE most gangster scenes of all time.
The most gangsta part of the scene wasn’t the killing or walking back to eatting, it was the jar of changed he put back after his 20%!
Little did he know his bodyguard 1:09 put in his two weeks notice 13 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds ago
William Handy ☠️
probably took his 20% too
"Ian gone say nun dis nicca don't pay me no mo"
William Handy

Leonardo DiCaprio would like to have word with you, as well as many others.
@@tkhotatia1163 in an effort to do what, change someone's opinion?
Nope. Opinions are opinions, I have no desire to change them, and can't anyways. I am simply saying that there are many other actors out there who are much more of a "one in a million" than Denzel. I quite like Denzel actually, I am just able to see that some actors have far more talent.
Nah, Denzel is a once in a generation actor maybe two generations.
