Fun-Fact: The official manga translations for DM mistranslated Thistle as Sissel even though the Adventurer's Guide spells him as Thistle in english characters. He's named Thistle after a flower that exists IRL, so it's not meant to be vague or anything.
Anyway, a few months ago, Netflix anounced Thistle as "Sissel" on their social medias, but they got ratio'd so fucking hard that apparently between then and now, they reverted to Thistle.
This episode marks a victory for the manga readers in a years-long battle!

Technically Senshi has only said that he's been "practicing cooking in this dungeon for over ten years". That doesn't exactly rule out the possibility that he's lived within this dungeon for far longer.

@@ruit3425she is very ok with that haha, Chil always view her as a bit of a young kid, though he rarely expresses it. Remember how he was concerned about her future career? Their almost father daughter like bond is kind of wholesome.
@@ruit3425yup, just check the canon chart, he already thinks Marcille is “a young lady” at the beginning of this journey. Btw Marcille has always been aware that he's a grown man, it is just hard for her to adjust the numbers subconsciously
I don't even dare to comment that Marcille and Izutsumi are like Chilchuck's adopted daughters in previous episodes for the moment. You will learn more about Chilchuck's backstory and it's related and so funny.
Fun fact, the Skyfish she made is a reference to a cryptid.
Remember Senshi looked like a young lad when the dwarves first found the dungeon, and dwarves have a longer life span than tall men (1.5 times). That could mean Senshi has been here for way over 10 years.
It's so funny to think that Senshi was trying to give "the talk" (during that pumpkin with face ep) to a grown a$$ man who has 3 daughters 😭🤣🤣
Yeah, Chil is by far the oldest among the group relative to his race's growth. It was basically a young-ish adult giving the talk to a middle aged man.
@@Palx-zs1ue Although I think Senshi is a bit older than a "young adult", I think he is about 50% of his lifespan? But when it comes to the birds and bees, he certainly has way less experience than Chil-Alimony-Chuck

And while Senshi is still single, I mean he lived in this Dungeon since he was a child when he was still mining for relics.

Marcille used black magic to open the gate of the infinite world from the dungeon to give Falin the energy to revive because Falin was only bones at that time.

Just realized that this is already Ep 22, 2 weeks away from season's finale. It's giving me that Frieren parting anxiety since this is the sole anime this season that I've stuck to wait for every week (holding back my urge every ep to continue in the manga) like I did for Frieren, as I do for series that I haven't read the manga/novel b4 discovering the anime. Such a bittersweet feeling.

There are ZERO news about a season 2.
Trigger has already announced a different anime (Panty and Stocking season 2).
HOWEVER There has been an unfinished frame of a season 2 senshi panty shot published on the studio Trigger twitter at some point. The frame included a bunny rabbit.

Y'know, I've been calling Chilchuck the "most divorced character" in the party based on vibes for a while now. I wasn't aware there was potentially some accuracy to that.
I'm assuming the creature that Marcille made was the sky fish rod thing that barely has any information on it. I'm not even sure if it's a real creature due to the lack of information, and I discovered this creature from JJBA. They're pretty much similar to what Marcille made and fly at very high speeds to the point where cameras can barely capture it, we don't even know what it's real proper form looks like. And well, I like to believe that it's real.
Sky fishes are a fictional creature, it was fun to see them referenced here
