Official video for "Impossible" by Shout Out Louds, from the album Our Ill Wills, out now on Merge Records. smarturl.it/ourillwills Directed by Ted Malmros
listening to this band in the car with my mom as a kid nearly a decade ago was like stumbling upon a musical time capsule. The lyrics resonate so deeply with my life experiences, which I couldn’t understand as a kid. A powerful reminder of the emotions and moments. It's amazing how music has the ability to etch its way into our souls and become a timeless companion
This started it all. This song. I was in the car at about the age of ten, with my mom playing this song because the album got a good review. This started it all, my love of music. Thank you Shout Out Louds.
Still remember the day at the library and I was young then. In the new CD's section I saw the album and tried it out. It was always fun at the library then. Listening to this and chatting it up with my friends from highschool. Now things aren't as they were. Those friends who I would chat with while listening to this music aren't there now. So to relisten really brings those forever days back. I really love you guys for making this music. Thank you so much. It's truly like a friend.
The line in this song that I had really felt was " I don't wanna feel like I don't have a future" There was this times in life like we are certain of everything. What we wanted to be, so sure about the plans But the moment comes that it's not the same as we thought. And you'll end up like you don't know what you want anymore. You feel so lost and the motivation is gone.
my dad always said that these guys made “the happiest sad music ever”
Still here in 2023

I love how Indie Rock is like a second language to most people and only some can understand it. My own world revolved around indie rock...
Damn...when you hear this for the first time in like 10 years the line "I don't wanna wake up knowing I don't have a future"....kinda hits.
Still waiting outside the Public Library
2021 anyone?
