4:51-5:02 Thats a really good point there. Cos movies have to make sense in order to render their characters absolutely perfect.
Loved his work in Sleeping Beauty. In fact, every movie he worked on and fleshed out i like as well.
I'd like to point out, that the reason Marc did Sleeping Beauty over Lady and the Tramp was because he always wanted to do a villain, and Walt gave him Maleficent because they wanted to make her more beautiful.
It’s time for you guys to put all this stuff on Marc Davis together for one nice documentary because so far they’ve all been grea
Thats a great idea!
I'd like to see something about Les Clark and John Lounsbery. Not many people talk about them much.
Bravo! Marc is my favorite of the Nine Old Men, and I'm glad you finally managed to tell his full story. Well done.
Thank You :D he's my favorite too :D
I exactly thought the same when it came to Lady and the Tramp, it could’ve been the movie that he worked on but he skipped it. I can totally see Marc’s animation on the Tramp, then there would’ve three main dudes who worked on him with Frank Thomas and Milt Kahl. My brother actually thought Marc did Lady and the Tramp, but sadly I said no, but I can see why he thought so.
Also I love the scene with Tinker Belle and Captain Hook because two of my favorite animators, Marc and Frank. I guess I can say they know how to animate characters with structure.
Wait so Cinderella and Alice were rotoscoped??
Not heavily but yah....and the animators HATED it lol. you can tell its not as close as some other art out there, more of a guide. from my understanding they used it to make things go faster. I think Snow White used a bit as well but don't quote me on that.
